  1. I agree. I have destroyed 4 trailer cams already trying to make the bumper connection work on fifths or GN. I would move the coax to bed if they have enough room.
  2. With the same load, 3500 will "squat" less than 2500 with the same load if that load gets into the second stage of the spring. GM trucks are designed with a forward rake so they sit level when loaded. If you level your truck, then you will deal with squat because you took the rake out.
  3. To get HD images, you need to go with a wire right now.
  4. I'm not sure. I know you must have a trailer information module. This shows up as the trailer app on your infotainment screen. Option code U1D.
  5. I haven't seen an owner's manual yet. Some of problem maybe due to the 2020 cameras not available yet and most people are using 2019. With transparent trailer being new for 2020, there probably new instructions for transparent applications.
  6. A1000 6sp was built in gm plant in Maryland. 10sp is being built in gm plant in Toledo, Ohio.
  7. Transparent trailer won't calibrate will the camera in that location. The trailer camera needs to be in center of trailer 4 inches higher from the ground than the camera in your tailgate with trailer attached. The camera needs to be at an angle of 35 degrees. Point the camera directly down to the ground and tilt it up to 35 degrees. I realize with toy haulers and trailers with drop gates this creates a problem. You could potentially smash the camera on the ground. You may not be able to use transparent trailer with these trailers. #iworkforGM
  8. I would say no. Rpos with trailer cams are: UVI and UVS. #iworkforGM
  9. I believe max is 85 psi. #iworkforGM If you want a better transparent image, increase the length of your dimension from center of ball to front of trailer. Measure from center of ball to the side of the trailer if the front of trailer was square not rounded like yours. This will make the transparent image not the whole width of the screen and stitch in better with surroundings. Adjusting the dimension will cause the need for recalibration. Shadows in the rear camera view can slow down the calibration. If you see a shadow, you need to drive in opposite direction. Camera placement and the angle of camera can also lead to calibration difficulties. #iworkforGM
  10. The three main differences between 2500 and 3500 SRW are: rear tire pressure increases from 70 to 80 psi, three stage leaf spring, and rear shock has more force. The second stage of 3500 leaf engages quicker than 2500, so larger bumps are more firm. In general, the rolling isolation is similar and larger bumps are a little firmer. If you choose diesel engine, you get 12" ring gear and no engine torque limiting in lower gears. #iworkforGM
  11. I would not recommend putting trailer cameras on fifth wheels over 35 ft in length. The cables are not long enough if you are using the 2019 camera version. I can check if the 2020 version is longer. I would caution you to be extremely careful installing on fifth wheels. You need a really large loop at front of trailer or you are going to rip the connector off when you turn. With the trailer camera hookup in the bumper not in the bed, you can't zip tie the camera wires to seven way connection. If you are mechanically inclined and only using trailer cams on fifth wheels and GNs, I would recommend seeing if the coax cables are long enough to move from bumper to box location. Then you can swap seven connectors between box and bumper. #iworkforGM
