  1. The original plan was May 4 restart and the stay at home extension to May 15 has put a damper on it. Automotive is deemed essential in Michigan so they could technically reopen before May 15. I don't see the UAW going against the governor's stay home at this point. UAW and governor are in bed together so I expect the UAW to support the governor.
  2. At least GM is not using borq Warner transfer cases, a tornado hit the plant that supplies Ford f150/super duty, Ram, and Tundra. #iworkforGM
  3. Ultimately, you need a plan for every part in the plant. There are parts that come from the whole world. It only takes one that you can't build around or substitute to keep it from opening. GM has plants China and South Korea that have reopened so they have some experience in keeping their employees safe. They also have been running the Arlington plant some to build out the 2020 SUVs. They are going to build 2020s for a while once they reopen. They can legally build 2020s to December if they like. #iworkforGM
  4. That's not correct. There is a module behind the license plate. It can be bought as an accessory. #iworkforGM
  5. You need advanced trailering to get trailer tire pressure monitoring. The trailer app is needed to view pressures. You should be able to add trailer tire pressure monitoring as an accessory. The module plugs in behind the license plate. It will cost you more as an accessory because you will have to buy the sensors separately. #iworkforGM
  6. You don't get trailer tire pressure monitoring with advanced trailering package. It is a separate option code. You can add it after the truck is built. #iworkforGM
  7. You have to use EPA mass when certifying fuel economy. EPA mass is base curb plus any option over 33% take rate. GMC has more models with higher option content which bumps it to a higher test weight class. The higher test weight class lowers the fuel economy. Chevrolet typically tests with a LT trim whereas GMC is typically Denali. #iworkforGM
  8. You have the base system. You only would have the rear trailer camera view that would be available at all driving speeds. #iworkforGM
  9. With the 360 deg camera system, there 4 camera views that are available going down the road: outside mirror camera view, outside mirror with rear trailer cam, rear trailer camera, and transparent (if available). The rest of the views will time out after 8 secs. #iworkforGM
  10. Any kit that does not relocate the upper ball joint has the potential to over travel ball joint. The maximum ball joint angle is increased for the 2020 trucks over previous gen knowing these trucks get modified and the failure is ugly. You can't fix the rebound issue without modifying the frame. The rebound service stop contacts the uca so you don't over travel ball joints in service. #iworkforGM
  11. You will likely fail ball joints at some point and have very little rebound travel with that leveling kit. But .. you can fit big tires on. #iworkforGM
  12. Michigan's stay at home order extended to April 30. Best case opening will be around May 4. It takes an day or two to get body and paint shop running after cold shutdown. #iworkforGM
  13. Ford and GM are still on indefinite close status and FCA said May 4. I don't see any plants opening before first week of May in Michigan. #iworkforGM
  14. I would recommend swapping your tires side to side. You should do this first before adjusting alignment. #iworkforGM
  15. Camber is 0.5 deg Caster is around 3.0 deg #iworkforGM
  16. The tire pressures are same between 18 and 20 in tire. 60 front 70 rear for 2500, 60 front 80 rear for 3500. #iworkforGM
  17. The exhaust brake on the 3.0L does not have the authority the 6.6L has. The grade braking in transmission is not as aggressive as the HD. You really need to hit the brakes hard to get it to Downshift. It works a lot different than the HD trucks. #iworkforGM
  18. You probably are at 4500 to 4700 lbs on front axle.
  19. The trim heights are the same no matter the FGAWR/front torsion bar setup. The angle at which the torsion engages changes to make sure that is enough adjust ability to meet the same height with the various weights. In general, you don't want crank your torsion bars too much because it can over travel the ball joints. You can crank a couple turns but I wouldn't recommend more than that. If you crank the torsion bars, you will need to realign it. #iworkforGM
  20. Correct. FGAWR goes up 400 lbs. Everything else is the same. #iworkforGM
  21. HD front springs does not the GVW or GCW. It only raises the FGAWR. The biggest thing it helps is for pickup campers. The mass calculation can put you over FGAWR with a camper. #iworkforGM
  22. Did you run out of money for a trailer? Glad you spent your money on the truck though. #iworkforGM
  23. Michigan is shutdown for three weeks. #iworkforGM
  24. Base and custom trims do not open. #iworkforGM
