  1. You are limited to 18 and 20 in tires at 80 psi as well. #iworkforGM
  2. Customers that own this package have been very happy. The majority the people complaining have never driven it. There are reasons why the majority of oems in HD segment have purpose built engine and transmissions. The duty cycles and cooling is significantly different. People that buy gas HD trucks want affordable and reliable. The L8T 6L90 provides that need. #iworkforGM
  3. What works on the track moving 4500 lbs does not compare to pulling around 24 to 26k GCW. LD trans don't work on HD applications. #iworkforGM
  4. After the vehicle goes asleep, there should be less than 50 mA of draw on the battery(ies). If it is more than 50, some module is not shutting down. #iworkforGM
  5. It's a balance between reliability and need. GM generally does not want to launch all new engine and transmission together for reliability. That is why carryover diesel with new trans and new gas with carryover trans. Ford did new engine and trans on both gas and diesel. #iworkforGM
  6. The bulletin is only applicable to trucks with digital steering assist. #iworkforGM
  7. The only thing you can do yourself is shutoff the truck, open and close drivers door, and sit in the truck and see if anything does not go asleep. Generally, the green light on onstar is last to go out. You also could measure the mA draw across the battery after the truck has gone asleep. #iworkforGM
  8. 1. ACC not available 2. Wouldn't recommend testing for it. 3. Not sure unless you have snow plow prep or some other option. #iworkforGM
  9. Trailer cams were on back order the last I knew. #iworkforGM
  10. The emissions requirements have tightened since 2017 so will have to use more def to be compliant. #iworkforGM
  11. Yes. 2020 will be for several months yet.
  12. Flint is running first shift only right now. It supposed to add a second shift next week but they have part shortages. They are going to run first shift again next week until the supply chain gets rolling. #iworkforGM
  13. Ford's F150 and explorer plants already had to close for workers with covid. Hopefully Flint does not have that problem. Flint may have to shutdown if Mexico does not allow part assembly plants to open. Hopefully there are enough parts in the pipeline to continue to build at the current slow rate until Mexico opens up. #iworkforGM
  14. The power steering cooler rattles on rough roads at slow speeds. It is worse on the uplevel steering trucks. There is no real fix for it. You can help it some by making sure your high pressure and return lines are not touching at the gear. There are hydraulic pulses that cause the cooler to rattle. #iworkforGM
  15. I would think you could bolt a LT console in. I don't think you would have power to the ports though. #iworkforGM
  16. Work truck and custom trims don't have center console storage. #iworkforGM
  17. Your suspension looks fine. Which tires did your truck come with? The 17" tires are pretty weak especially if you lowered the pressures. Air springs probably would be the worst thing to add. They decrease lateral stiffness in rear suspension once aired up. #iworkforGM
  18. Ok. I asked around and here are a few things to try and make sure of. 1. I assume you are selecting your trailer profile at startup and not changing any the of the dimensions. If you change any of the dimensions it will cause you to re-calibrate. 2. Just confirming that you are getting a yellow status bar and showing calibration being done on the Transparent view after each startup? You have to be going 10 mph for the transparent to work after a key up. 3. If it is really calibrating after each key cycle, I was told after the calibration is complete and transparent is visible to shut the vehicle off and let it the truck go asleep. Basically, shut the truck off and open/close driver's door and wait until the Onstar green light goes out. From your post, this should have happened at your gas station and food breaks. When the module goes to sleep, it should write the calibration values in memory. 4. Its probably worth trying creating a new trailer profile with the same dimensions and see if for some reason that profile is corrupted. 5. Take some pictures in transparent view with it calibrating and once the calibration is complete. If it is calibrating, in the transparent view you should see the view with the two mirror cameras with the trailer camera in the middle with a yellow status bar at the bottom of the screen. 6. Take to Dealer and see if there are any codes for loss of communication between the CSM (Radio Display module) and VPM (Camera module). #iworkforGM.
  19. Just announced a limited restart on May 18 at Flint if everything goes as planned. #iworkforGM
  20. I don't. I assume you are selecting your saved trailer profile when hooking up. You shouldn't have to re-calibrate after you have done it once. Let me see if anyone has any ideas to try. #iworkforGM
  21. GM's first quarter earnings is tomorrow. GM probably will probably provide a target date (May 18) like FCA. #iworkforGM
  22. Similar to Denali, AT4 is crew cab only. AT4 is only available with single rear wheel. #iworkforGM
  23. Wall St Journal is reporting a May 18 startup for Ford, FCA, and GM. #iworkforGM
  24. I don't have alot of info to add. It sounds like either a connection issue or some type of software bug. I have had to setup about 50 trailers for demos but once I learned some of the setup issues, I haven't worked through any type of issues like you have mentioned. Wish I had more to add. #iworkforGM
  25. UCAs will only help the ride if they are modified in a way that they don't engage the rebound service stop on the frame as quickly as the production arms do. I haven't looked at the service stop on the frame to determine if its possible to cut off. If you can remove it, you probably need to buy an aftermarket shock with travels adjusted for your lift. In addition, if you ever remove the shock you would need to support the front corner to prevent over travelling the front suspension. #iworkforGM
