I got the 2020 midnight edition trail boss with 6.2 got 6500 miles run 87 in her awesome power shifts so smooth with the 10 speed you dont even notice it and am getting 17mpg mixed driving i actually get a little better gas mileage when im not on the highway just driving back and forth to work strange but true. so far so good worried about the lifter valve problem as mine was built august 2020 in the time frame they had problems but so far so good.

i also had a rattle that was driving me crazy i thought it was the back seat sounded like it was seat after a couple of months i found the rattle and it was not the back seat it was the dome light had fallen down some and that was making the noise i just had to push it back up till it snapped back in

UPDATE!!!! hi guys well my wreck was on October 29 th it is now March 31st 5 months later i just picked my truck up from the dealership that was doing the repair i got to say they did a good job looks good but it was raining and was outside when i went to look at it so i guess i will get better look when i wash it but from what i could see you would never know it was wrecked. Between covid problems and i guess shortage and delays on parts it took this long to get back and man after driving three different rental cars one was a Ram truck one a nissan armana and a jeep compass getting back behind the wheel of this chevy was so sweet i really did not realize why and how much i like chevy silverados and tahoes anyhow just wanted to give update now i am waiting to here from other guys insurance regarding diminished value oh also i did a survey for chevy last september or october and told them i had issues with how thin the paint is and rock chips happening way to easy and the defect i had in one door i had forgot all about it well they called me two weeks ago to discuss my issues after explaining everything they gave me $500 dollars credit for accessories i thought that was cool since i had paid $800 to have two doors painted because of chips and yes it was passenger doors i had painted and driver side that was wrecked so now whole truck has been painted except passenger fender and passenger bedside WOW,,,,,,,,,,,

well the estimate is in 13,455 for anyone who was waiting i guess im going to be stuck with the wrecked truck well hopefully when they paint it it will be thicker than what the factory put on it

the dealership called me before it even got to them to look at i asked about being totaled he told me that it would have to be around $47000 in damage on a $60000 dollar truck for the insurance company to total it and it wont be that much im sure

well my brand new trail boss just got wrecked, a guy passed out crossed over the yellow line almost hit me head on and ended up hitting me right in drivers door all the side impact air bags went off on both sides of truck. im lucky to be alive i believe the running board saved me. now what do i do they are probably not going to total it and im gonna be left with a truck that will have depreciated a ****** ton and who knows what kind of problems i will have with it now, it only had 1800 miles on it and i guess the guy was on something too i am so mad

no real remedy except protective film but that is expensive i also have a month old new black truck and i am not happy with the paint i have chips in mine already the paint chips way to easily i have one in front fender and one in front passenger door and back passenger door that look like crap on black they really show up bad because the primer is white i tried to touch up and buff by hand with micro fiber towel and burned through the paint the paint turned a brown color getting door repainted paint is to thin then i got another in back door tried doctor color chip repair it works ok but you can still see chip may get that door repainted also it is a shame for the money we pay for these trucks that the paint is so shitty

dont try to use touch up paint and try to blend in by buffing my brand new black trailboss got a chip in door i used touch up paint and buffed by hand with a micro fiber cloth and meguires scratch remover and buffed right through the paint and left a brown burn mark the paint on these trucks is garbage body shop guy said it is so easy to take paint right off these cars also talked to paint guy at dealership and he said the same thing just want to warn everyone be very carefull rubbing on these trucks or you will end up having to get the whole door repainted like me

i just got one in my less than a month old black trailboss bought the touch up paint touched it up was trying to blend it in buffing it by hand with a micro fiber towel and meguires scatch remover and guess what i buffed through and burned the paint now i got to get the door re painted the body shop told me the paint on these new cars is junk and it does not take anything to go right through i am so upset this should never happen by hand wtf,,,,,, so any one trying to blend a spot in be very carefull

new 2020 midnight edition trail boss 6.2 only got 450 miles hope it gets better but cant complain i love the 6.2 getting 15.8 mpg so far I just traded in a 2019 5.3 rst that had 15000 miles I was getting around 18 mpg in it not all that much of a difference but a ton more power....

hi just got my new 6.2 midnight edition trail boss two weeks ago as i was washing it yesterday i noticed what i thought was a dent in driver side back door about half way down dooor, as i started to loose my mind thinking someone hit it with their door i noticed it is not dented it is a spot about the size of a thumb print that looks like it was buffed at factory and made like a flat spot, the paint around it has the orange peel look like the rest of truck does but in that spot it does not have the orange peel it is smooth as glass which makes it look like a dent if you look at it from angles so the question i have is what should i do i contacted dealer and they are gonna have there detailer look at it i know detailing cant fix it it would have to be taken down blended in and re paint to fix it i hate to have a brand new door sanded and repainted what would you guys do i also made a complaint with chevy so it would be on record that it has a problem. i hate to be nit picky but for as much as these trucks cost i dont want to have to look at that spot every time i look at the truck and since i noticed it my eyes go right to it every time. tell me you guys opinions what would you do...... thanks

ya i dont know and the dealer was not sure why either since they have not got truck yet we will have to see when it gets here and its also weird that they cant track where the truck is or when it will arrive they said it should have been there already if you want to check what im saying use 15009 for zip code

actually just did same truck on chevys website under military discount and 60075msrp miltary discount shows it brought down to 56624 and then 5000 consumer cash brings it down to 51624 so its the same for first responder discount and teacher discount not sure if there is a price difference depending on where you live or not but all discounts are equal when i just did all three also on the new trucks that are being delivered now so the one im getting since it is still in transit chevy has raised the price on sticker they are now charging 215 more for midnight package and now are charging 180 for lpo mud flaps other trucks that are on lots already that are exactly the same msrp is 60070 and the one i am getting is 61465 whats up with that

yes i get it should be same discounts across the board i agree

thats the amount that comes off that truck when you configure it all in the teacher discount section on chevy website i believe the amounts are different on every price point going up and down depending on MSRP

made a deal today on 6.2 midnight edition black trail boss sunroof leather conv package II safety package lpo splash guards advanced trailer package $61465 msrp minus 3576 teacher discount minus 5000 customer cash minus 750 own a jeep discount price is $52589 traded a 2019 Rst they gave me $41000 for it i owed $27760 so my out the door is around $41000 and got them to give me a REV hard tri folding tonneau cover on it let me know what you guys think please also i bought the Rst last october for $40000 before trade on a 2011 silverado so i got $1000 more on this trade than i paid last year

just bought a new/used Chevy Silverado 4wd RST silver ice metallic I think I did pretty good on deal it had 4,500 mile tonneau cover, bug guard, the splash guards, and 4" black tubular running boards on it also has 5.3 motor the 20" painted aluminum wheels, All star edition, leather package, z71 off road and protection, convenience 1 and 2 with bucket seats, safety package, bed protection trailering package, and center console. this thing is sweet it has everything it was used on a Toyota lot guy bought it then traded it in on a Toyota truck I got them down to $41,990 I traded my 2011 extended cab Silverado in they gave me $12000 on it, It had 95000 miles im pretty happy with the deal awesome truck for $30000 before taxes considering this was a $55000 msrp truck what you guys think on how I did thanks
