the reason those do not seal up is because the plastic tabs stick out farther than the seal so it can't seal up, I trimmed mine with a dremel and added some additional foam padding like you did only wider, if you compare that led housing to your old housing you will see what I mean

mine is a 18 I am just about to roll into 30k miles, I put in a AGM battery and sold the delco for $45, I upgraded my skid plates to the metal ones, I just did the brakes about 3 weeks ago oem pads never last me 6 months anyway so I always upgrade to ceramic, the starter is the 1.4kw I will upgrade that to the 1.7 sooner or later there $158 on rockauto, the starter sounds "weak" to me it works fine but since there is a more powerful one I will put it in, I put a 220amp alternator on it from a 3500, no problems with the ac so far other than the fan stops randomly and then turns back on and the radio does a weird thing where the audio cuts off and then comes back on at the startup volume, and my ipod will randomly stop playing at the end of a song instead of continuing on to the next song so i have too hit the skip button or hit play again even though the screen will show it playing it's not. I am thinking those things are a loose connection because it normally only does it when I first take off down the road or more often when it is cold outside. I bought a 6yr 60k bumper to bumper warranty with it so I shouldn't have to worry much for a good while, for 2k worked into the loan I just take it as a pre-paid repair lol.

I have just been waiting for kenwood to release there 10.1" headunits, I have all the parts to swap the entire system otherwise, a 6ch amp, a sub amp, 2 subs, components for the front doors, 2-way's for the rear, 2.5" speakers for the dash, wiring kit and the harness's and adapters, I bought the harness so I can just unplug the stock amp and plug in my aftermarket amps, then if I need too I can pull it out and put it back to stock without cutting or splicing any wires.

I bought all the required adapters and it was only $160.00 a Alpine 7" with android auto/carplay is only $300

didn't look on the pads themselves but if the code on the box is any indicator then it would be GG which is probably correct because I have used the next higher up before which is there carbon fiber pads but those make a lot of dust and squeak like hell.

no I haven't, I guess I could try driving with the air at different settings and see if it makes any difference, this whole truck vibrates I guess I need to turn the stereo down also the dam 6X9 in the doors vibrate the doors also so I get vibration from everywhere lol, seems like sometimes I only feel it at about 90mph, I will try it tomorrow with the air at different levels since it does move it a few inches
