  1. Don't disagree if that where actually the case from the get go, but that is after they moved the cab of the truck, when they originally had explained that it was only the bed that would be adjusted. The bed was way off not just from a cosmetic stand point, but you could actually see it sticking out on the other passenger side, along with the bumper being off due to the bed, which of course makes since. Instead of notifying me though that the bed could not be adjusted, after saying it could, they decided to align the cab with the miss-aligned bed, which as you can imagine now has everything off. Either way, its a 60k truck, and if they need to buy it back, then that is on them, not me as they do need to stand behind their product.
  2. Same issue here, my truck is actually at the dealer now. They are deciding on what they want to do with it, as they have not been able to come to a resolution. I know another person stated that they where able to get their's repaired, but as of now I've been told the bed cannot be adjusted. They have adjusted my cab to match the misaligned bed, as you can tell from the bumper is way off, so now I'm guessing the truck is going to track down the high and look like its not going straight. They have mentioned possibly buying it back, but am concerned that I am going to lose out in the long run from what I've read on GM's buy back policy. Currently I am in a loaner, as I have only had the truck for a month with the first payment coming up, and just emailed the dealer to see what the status is, and what they want to do. Guess we shall see in time, but I did walk the lot with my sales rep, and showed him others that where just like it.
  3. Just got off the phone with Michael Valle (Service Manager) at Gunn GMC/Buick, and they may possibly buy the truck back.
  4. I spoke with a local body shop today, that I have been friends of for quit some time, and was told the beds are removable since they have to do so when working on cabs of trucks when involved in accidents. Told me the dealer should have never moved the cab if they truly did, as that would drive off the alignment of everything else on the front in or cause the vehicle to look like its tracking or floating from behind. They also then asked if the frame was bent if the bumper itself is off as well, since the bumper typically attaches to the frame. As many stated though, they stated the bed should have been removed, re-pinned and aligned to match the cab and the bumper, not vice versus. Mine is still at the dealer, as they are supposes to have a meeting with the GM of the dealership, service manager, service adviser, and Hector from General Motors to figure out what they are going to do. Will keep everyone advised.
  5. Not sure how everyone else is doing on this, but like "mistaare" and "Dexter Jensen" my White Sierra is the same. I had Hector, with GM come out to the Gunn Dealer in Selma/Schertz Texas, who also agreed the bed of the truck was not correct. He stated that it was the first one he had seen, and I stated that I could take him down the line of trucks that are on the lot for sale, and show him five more just like it, which of course he declined. I also explained to him that the bumper was out of alignment, but he explained that once the bed was fixed it would even up the bumper correctly. When I asked if they where going to repair it, he said they would take care of it, but would get back in contact with me. After a few weeks of waiting, I called the dealer to see what was going on, and they told me to bring the truck in to have it corrected. Just got a phone call from Gunn who stated that the bed cannot be moved as it is riveted to the frame, and the only adjustment that could be done was to move the cab of the truck. Dealer said it looked much better, which it doesn't, but that the bumper was still not correct and they would have to have get another approval from GM. I told the dealer to keep the truck and see what other dealers are doing to get this corrected, as I feel if you physically moved the cab then something else has to now be out of alignment. Needless to say, I can see this being a battle as it seems many others have experienced. I've only been in the truck for 4 weeks, and they have had more than I have. I pretty much told them if they can't fix it find another truck, and get it switched, as this is ridiculous. I thank Dexter for posting the work order, as I will be taking this to them to show them how they can get it corrected the right way.
  6. Ciao Loves, I just purchased a new GMC Sierra SLT, and noticed every morning when i back out of the driveway, and put it in gear to move forward that the front right break is sticking but then stops. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, could you tell me what you or the dealer did to correct? Just wanted to get an idea before I took it in to the dealer. Appreciate the help. Thanks
