  1. The lemon law lawyer I spoke with today has plenty of experience with Dodge and Fords. I can’t remember which but one has problems with the windshield leaking and the other with the Rear window. It seems like a crap shoot whether you get a decent vehicle or a lemon these days.
  2. So far the offer on the table is a $100 GM service voucher.
  3. Ok fellows. Just received a call from my Executive Customer Service Advisor. She wanted to make sure the truck was repaired and I was satisfied. I told her about the rust and she is trying to tell me that temperature changes cause the metal to rust. She wants me to go back to the dealership and let them talk with GM Engineering about the rust. I asked her about the compensation she touted throughout the entire process and she insulted me with a $100 GM Service Voucher offer. I let her know that I'm used to being fed and having a few drinks before getting screwed. She is now saying she never offered compensation and was only offering the service voucher as a gift. I asked her about the two months of onstar and data and XM I've paid for but not received due to being in a loaner that didn't have said packages and she is saying she can offer 12 months of onstar but not data or XM and that's the best she can do. I'm not at all satisfied with this and I'm now supposed to get a call from her manager within 48 hrs. Who wants to take bets that said manager will never call me?
  4. I might try that. I took lots of pictures. I’ve already sent in the lemon Law notice. What bothers me more it the rust on the air bag actuators over the doors. My dealership is telling me GM id going to have to replace the truck if it leaks again and that 79 days is way too long and should have had the parts within a week or two.
  5. I picked up the truck this evening. So far everything looks good. They knew I was going to be anal about the appearance and fit and function of this from the beginning and they did a real good job of preventing interior scratches and damage. They removed the rear seats and side pillars completely to do the work. Everything was put back well. I did see a slight bit of damage to the extreme rear edge of the headliner on the drivers side corner that looks like it was touching the cardboard and got a slight abrasion during transport in the cardboard box. That’s not worth complaining about. I will be bringing the rust I found up with GM and I’ll find out what if any compensation they offer if any and counter with real world actual cost I’ve incurred. After all of this it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they have sudden amnesia about all of this compensation they’ve been blowing up my tail for the last two months.
  6. And I thought day 78 was a lot. What are they saying is the problem and have you talked with anyone other than the service manager?
  7. My double cracked frame is an E9.
  8. Those are the nuts that hold the spoiler on.
  9. Cracked in the same place on both sides. I don’t know how the dealership didn’t see it when they did the first caulking job. I’ve got some other pictures of rust in. The truck I’ll try to post up tonight.
  10. They did seal my spoiler screws up with the polyurethane sealant and had enough coming through into the cab that I don’t see how water could get in that way now.
  11. And another of the edge of the right side crack. This one should have been found when they did the first caulk job.
  12. And here’s the right
  13. Here’s the crack that leaked in the left side
  14. The caulk joint was very poorly done with mine in the fix each time. I’m actually going to see if they need that window or if they are going to junk it. The pro I saw on the repair after having the window out was the caulk tube tip was cut with too narrow of an opening and wouldn’t allow the caulk to flow out and cover the entire joint from truck body to window glass. Ha they don’t that there would have been no was for the water to enter cracked frame or not. The way the window sits with the spoiler they really would have. A hard time Caulking it properly. Why GM didn’t have the spoiler come 3/8-1/2” down below the window top and terminate on the glass vertical surface instead of the Horizontal joint is beyond anything this plumber can figure.
  15. They sealed mine three times before I convinced them that it needed a new window. Today they removed my window and I found not one but two cracks through the plastic frame at the edge of the slide guide rail. Good Luck. I'm on day 75 and they want to give the sealant on the new window 48hrs to cure so I won't get my truck back until Monday-79 days out of service.
  16. They are putting my headliner in as I type this. I stopped by the dealership earlier when the pulled the glass. I found two cracks through the frame that the service manager failed to notice. They are putting my headliner in today and maybe the window this afternoon or the morning. I'll pick it up on Monday at this point for a total of 79 days out of service if this is all the warranty work I have to get done. They did tell me that I haven't been driving the loaner much. Apparently most of the people given loaners drive the heck out of them. I did notice all of the steel hardware that holds the seat on the rear of the cab is rusting. I will also say that their glass crew did a great job removing the window in one piece and did not put a single scratch anywhere that is exposed(there is one scratch through the paint exposing primer behind where the window seals).
  17. Ok guys. Have gotten my dealership owners cell number and called and received a call back. Explained everything I could remember to him and he said it was totally unacceptable and he was putting his best people on it. So at 5 to 5 this evening I get a text that my headliner is now delivered and they are starting now. The window will be replaced tomorrow morning.
  18. They’ll just smear a little more caulk on that and call it done.
  19. No to mention that my headliner has a recessed portion Over the rear seats that would not allow water to run to the rear window.
  20. Praying for your friends and their baby Hotrodz
  21. This is contrary to what my dealership claims GM engineering told them. They claimed that once the seal is broken the window must be replaced and cannot be resealed and reused.
  22. At this point I don't know that I can. My truck is in their bay with the headliner dropped, the rear pillars out and who knows what else as it sits and waits. I asked them if they have investigated the wind noise that my truck suddenly produced after they did the seat belt tensioner recall and they told me they couldn't drive it because the cab was taken apart. At this point I wonder if they are trying to wait me out and see who has more patients.
  23. That’s true most of the time. I’m questioning my dealerships techs skill level after performing the tsb twice and it still leaks and then telling me they can’t make it leak. Also really gets under my skin when I’m told that parts are nationally backordered but I’ve seen people with the same problem get theirs fixed under warranty within two weeks and I’m going on 73 days waiting for the exact same parts and I’m “supposed” to be on some kind of Priority List. If my dealership pushed this hard enough it would have been repaired by now.
  24. Your states Lemon Law and maybe a lawyer is the only thing GM respects.
  25. my headliner is grey in color. I've opened a case with GM customer care and have been elevated twice the last time to GM Executive Customer care team. They all told me that they were working hard for me and could get parts quickly and that I was prioritized so I would get the next available part and everything I've read online is contrary to what GM has told me. It took a month and a half but I finally got a call from Juan my dealerships after sales district manger and he encouraged me to call him whenever I had a question and promised to call me back. That phone call or email(I made sure he had my correct email address) never came. Good luck.
