  1. Smithy my states lemon Law says 20 days out of service. We’ll see what happens. The lemon Law notification is in their mail today. As of about 20 minutes ago they hadn’t signed for it yet.
  2. What good is a warranty when they can't provide the parts. I'm tired of driving a loaner Malibu. I'm hoping as of now they go ahead and do this as painless and quick as possible. I'm not holding my breath on it though. They claim it takes them 2 days to call the dealership(which the dealership denies hearing from them) and claiming to call me back.
  3. GM has given me a 5yr 100,000 mile warranty after the first two weeks-which was the first time it was in the shop for the window leak. They're making trucks everyday with the parts we need and keep saying they are backordered. There is no excuse for any delay for this long. Its 59 days today. It took an act of God to get the District Manager of Aftersales to call me and after telling me he would keep me informed hasn't called or emailed since and won't answer his phone or return calls. Executive Customer Service has been just as bad.
  4. They told me today that headliners are back ordered and they haven’t got any news when they will be available. I’m betting they suddenly find one for my truck after 10:00am tomorrow morning. Today is 58days without the truck the last thirty five days in a little Malibu.
  5. Mine is constant as well we think coming from the Front part of the rear passenger window. If I ever get my truck back Ill get my ultrasonic leak detector and find it that way.
  6. Lemon law letter typed and being sent today. I’ll keep y’all posted to the outcome. Today is day 58.
  7. They did offer to make a payment for me when I had 20-25 days in. They stopped all of that when they figured out I didn’t finance tthough them and paid in full.
  8. Not only that Jamie but they are making trucks every day with the same windows and headliners. The only reason theres a nationwide shortage is because they are putting production and sales above warranty. I'm not making payments through GM financing or anywhere else. I paid my truck in full at the time of pick up. The senior customer service crowd kept telling me they couldn't reach the dealership and such. My dealership told me they never called and I don't think they were trying to help just stall for time. Have they told you there would be compensation offered? They've told me they want to compensate me for the time out of the vehicle but won't make an offer and don't want to talk about it until the truck is repaired. I got switched over to the executive customer service crowd when I compared their compensation negotiations to the Healthcare Law. I guess I have to buy it and then see what I've bought.
  9. Yup Jamie, All correspondence for whatever reason takes them two days. I asked why can't you hang up the phone with the dealership and then call me? They said that they are very busy and that is not how it works. Its all just a stalling tactic to make you feel like they are actually doing something for you. The senior advisor only talked to my dealership once and the executive rep only spoke with my dealership when I conference called them together. I had a shipping confirmation last week on my headliner, it has since been rescinded and the glass came in so now I'm going on 54 days and still no truck.
  10. I’ve never taken my truck to one. I did take my wife’s care to one by our house after the last ski trip and I was impressed with the cleaning job it did and to be honest it didn’t look any worse than a moderately hard rain.
  11. Just received an update from my GM Executive Service Rep that my dealership should have my rear window no later than Friday. Then she tells me the dealership may not know about this. I called the dealership and they have already received the rear window today. They went on to tell me that the headliner that was supposed to come in last week has been delayed by a week and they are not sure when its supposed to come in but that they hoped it would be this week. The glass people that are doing the replacement will need about 2-3 days to work it in. I've called the Executive person back and left a voicemail for her to call me with the ETA of the headliner. She can't seem to realize that there are two parts to this repair. My fear now is they will put in the new window and it will leak. Then we'll have to start the whole process over again.
  12. I wouldn't say that BIGDOGx. Most of the things I've repaired with duct tape are still holding strong which is more than I can say for the caulk jobs I've gotten.
  13. That's the million dollar question. I believe I read on here where one person who is on his second window is now leaking and Shamrock Shooter is on his second truck that was leaking but is now fixed for the time being. They tried to caulk mine twice. The first time it didn't slow it down at all. The second time it slowed it down a bit but still leaked same day from the dealership. From my 26 years using caulk in plumbing I can tell you caulk doesn't seal to caulk and more is not better. I've been waiting on a new window for a while now. I'm currently 53 days without my truck overall. The first caulk job took them 16 days. The second one took them 4 days. They attempted to clean the headliner and got most of the stain off but theres still about 15% of the stain that they couldn't remove.
  14. Never got the promised calls today from GM. They’re more than likely taking Monday off too.
  15. yeah I've been getting the same BS from both of them. Good Luck!
  16. Okay guys another update today. Lameka from GM Executive customer support called today from the same number I had saved for Jarelyn my last customer service person. She said my parts were coming in this week and we’re probably already there. She said she ha stalked to Danny-service manager. I had talked to the general manager today and Juan the afternoon sales manager and knew I wasn’t being told the truth. I called the general manager again and found out the headliner is supposed to be be in this week. They have no idea when the rear window is coming in and have not talked to anyone named lameka or anyone from GM about it this week. They think she just looked up the records and read them out to me. Supposed to hear from everyone again on Friday January 17th. Well see what they all have to say then.
  17. Just heard from my after sales support manager from GM. Still have t heard from the executive customer service Dept. He tells me they are having a supply issue with parts. He did tell me he has seen many of these but most are repaired the first time around with the technical service bulletin. He has put my parts on a priority thing where I’m supposed to be at the top of the list(along with everyone else who’s contacted their after sales guy). At this point his concern is getting my truck repaired and me back in it. I brought up the rust on the seat hardware under the rear seat. I told him it had t really occurre to me that it was a problem until I saw pictures online of the same thing from leaking windows. He’s going to check I got that. I also mentioned the wind noise I’m experiencing(or would be if I was driving my truck) after the first recall was done for the seatbelt tensioner motors. He said to let the dealership handle that. He also told me he would call or email me by Friday to let me know where everything stands. I told him I’ll be in the Malirado until my truck got fixed ronreplaced(he thought that was kinda funny). I did call My Executive customer service rep and she was out for lunch. I asked Rocky if she was alright, not experiencing any sickness, or sickness of a close family member or death of family or friends since I hadn’t heard from her and neither had my dealership when she said she would call. Rocky was a bit taken back by my questioning but laughed about it and told me she was fine and maybe something came up yesterday but he was going to have her call me today. I’m not holding my breath on that one.
  18. Its not the materials that support mold its moisture and temperature.
  19. I did text my dealership manager last night told him I haven’t been getting the callbacks from GM when the say they are. Seeing these windows have been used for the past 6 years it’s not like they have no experience with them. I’d really like to speak with someone in engineering about this issue. Someone that can speak intelligently about the problem not just restate my frustration, say they understand and will look into it and never call me back. I’m tired of chasing down these people for them to tell me they have taken the last 48-72hrs and not found anything out. It’s also very disappointing when they say “we tried to contact your dealership but they wouldn’t answer the phone”. How can a dealership stay in business if it doesn’t answer the phone. They answer every time I call. I feel like they are just stalling.
  20. My friends 2015 Silverado is leaking too. I showed him the white water stains on his window corners, the crack in his plastic window frame, and the stain in his headliner. His headliner stain is about twice the size of my fist on the drivers side. Passenger side shows no stain. He’s not as upset as I am seeing how he has owned his truck for five years not 76 days.
  21. I don’t have a picture. Today is trump day(45 days at the dealership). To everyone else I’m have a friend with a 2015 that I had take a picture of his rear window. He has e same window in his 2015 that we have leaking in our 2019-20
  22. Well today came and went with no call from my GM Executive customer service rep from Michigan. I’m going to call her tomorrow and see if she’s alright since she didn’t call today and let my dealership know. I’m fed up at this point and I also noticed rust on the hardware on the underside of my flip up rear seat.
  23. Here’s a nice picture of me a friend with more time than I had today put together.
  24. I have a wind noise in my truck coming from the passenger side rear door area. I have a hearing issue and cannot discriminate noise/sounds well. I actually had a girl that waited for me ride with me for about 10 miles and help me find the noise and make sure I wasn’t crazy(because the dealership told me they couldn’t hear it at all). Mine started after the dealership did the first window leak caulk job and performed the seatbelt tensioner recall. Now I have a noise that would drive me crazy if I actually had access to my truck to drive it(see the window leak thread for more details-44 days no without my truck).
  25. Class action suits just enrich lawyers. I don’t want enrichment I want a non leaking truck. Shouldn’t be that hard to produce for the $50,330.85 I spent.
