Haven’t even made the first payment on my 2020 Sierra SLT Premium to get super annoyed by the 10-second flashing trailer lights. Mostly because RTFM digging in a 500-page owners manual for an explanation = huge waste of time. THEFT DETERRENT is false; after waiting a half-hour for the blinks to stop, they never did so I disconnected the wiring harness to emulate a thief and wake up the neighbors. Not one peep and the would be thief would be gone with my new sled trailer and two new ArcticCat ZR6000’s. Note to the wise on the thread: lock your __it up and thieves will hunt for easier prey. If the blinks are that annoying, we just need to deal with it and pull the harness.

Did you ever figure out how to remove the tray? I’d like to custom mount a radar detector on a small pedestal there and run the direct power wire thru if possible.
