Got my harness today from Amazon to use with my Furrion camera. Looks like there is a lot of excess on the harness. Like others have suggested, I will trim off about two inches on each side to ensure it all can fit in the cavity behind the camera on my rig. Fingers crossed!
You are forgetting tongue weight and the weight of the items on the tongue (filled gas cannisters, battery, etc). They are not reflected in the manufacturers weight listing. Are you using a weight distribution hitch? For something that size, you should be. And you’ll need to include its weight in your calculations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, I don’t have the connectivity everywhere I am to use CarPlay. Plus, not a fan of iTunes file mgmt, made even worse when you play it over Bluetooth and Gracenote tries to index it. I get the same effect as setting album playback to random, ‘cause it ain’t in order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Car Play artwork = yes USB artwork = yes when navigating in folder view on the infotainment system I have not been able to display album art at the track level when playing from the USB stick. 2019 Silverado LTZ here. BTW, how are you getting artwork from Sirius? I thought we had the same stereo and software. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a 1500 6.2 w/ 10-speed. If you get it with the max trailering package, which would give you a better gear ratio and some techno do-dads, your toe capacity is above 10k. Without it, like I have, you still get a tow capacity of 9,300 and a GCVW of 15000. Which is plenty for lots of people. For me, I can pull my 7k travel trailer with no issue. But what you load up your trailer with and how much that all weighs will impact your choice of vehicle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I guess this guy ^^^ shut everybody up. Interesting info here for sure. My problem in SoCal has been in finding stations that carry 93 octane gas. So it's been 91 for me. I'd like to run 93 in my tank, but the closest station carrying the stuff is over 20 miles away and that's a bridge too far.
FWIW, This method still works. Sent off an email yesterday to [email protected] with my VIN requesting a build sheet, and someone got back to me later that same afternoon with the info. Great resource to have.
I bought my LTZ used and recently got a hold of its build sheet from GM. It shows option code PTT for trailer tire pressure monitoring system. Would the original owner have received the trailer tire sensors when he purchased the truck? If not, can anyone recommend a site to get the GM trailer tire sensors? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Hey everyone - I have been lurking for a while and now that I am starting to mod my Silverado, I'm out from the shadows. Graduated from a '13 Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi to a '19 Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2 a while back. Loved the Jeep, and she was great for towing a pop-up and for road trips. Now that we have a larger travel trailer, though, had to step up the towing vehicle. See you all around.
Thanks, figured it was for either safety or legal reasons. I was hoping that Gracenote would attach its album artwork to the music as it indexed the files. Surely they can do it from a legal perspective. Kind of a bummer to know my '19 Silverado can't accommodate art from a USB but my '11 BMW can.
