I have a 2021 GMC 1500 3.0 with 25k miles. I have the same issue this past Tuesday, the service def system popped up along with the CEL. After about 25 miles of driving the service def system cleared itself however the CEL always stayed on. This would then reset the miles until 65mph prompt after some more driving the service def system would reappear and then clear itself this happened about 3 times until I was able to get it in the shop. I was able to get the truck into the dealership on Friday morning by Friday afternoon they called me and said I need a new DEF tank with no timeline on the DEF tank due to national backorder. It sounds like it’s the same issue everyone is having the connectors are melting causing CEL errors and limp mode. He also told me they have 2 2500’s on the lot right now with the same issue and are waiting on DEF tanks.

@Kchampagne Thank you for the repair order info. I have a 2021 GMC 1500 with 600 miles. And, I just called my dealership last week about the diesel exhaust smell in the cab during cold startups.
