  1. dgstarr63- I am aware of the fluid issue. I had a 2017 Silverado that had shifting issues. Of course the techs would not admit anything. I found out thru a confidential source what was going on. Took the truck to the dealer, supposedly the tech was driving it when the fluid overheated. Went in to limp mode and he drove it back, eight miles, to the shop. Supposedly, again, the torque converter fried, trashed some other stuff. Took two weeks to fix. No converters available so GM had to pull one from the line. After all the repair steps, truck was ready to go. It drove fine for about a month then started with the hard shifting. Took it back, dealer said no issue. Had transmission had to relearn. After a few visits and some words, I traded it for the 2019 Sierra, which supposedly (that word again) had all the new stuff. By the way, friend of mine just traded his 2020 Sierra for a 2021 Ram. GM dealer couldn't or wouldn't fix the problems with his truck. Tranny, tailgate would open by itself, and electrical issues.
  2. Have the same issue with my 2019 Sierra SLT. Has a clunking noise coming to a stop. Back last year I had a bad problem with very hard downshift that shook the truck. I tried light braking, hard braking and coasting. This lasted most of the day. Next day, shifting was normal. Dealer said no codes, could not duplicate. Still have the clunk when stopping. Last service, mentioned it to service rep. Again got the "all the trucks do that" answer.
  3. My 2019 Sierra SLT X31 does the same thing. Especially in cold weather. Back out of the shelter, or pull out, depending on how I parked. Rubbing, popping, slow acceleration. Sounds horrible. Had it in for service a few weeks ago. Talked to the service rep. His answer "all the trucks do this, it's normal". Typical answer. Also, the "electric motor sound" when unlocking the doors in the morning. Haven't figured that out. I very rarely set the parking brake. I don't set it at all when parking at the end of the day.
  4. 2019 Sierra SLT X31. Recently towed our 20' enclosed trailer on a 2500 mile round trip. About 500 miles in I started getting "check trailer wiring" "Trailer Brakes Connected" on the DIC. When the check wiring came on, the light on the controller would go out. I noticed this would happen in gradual left/right curves and backing up. In heavy rain, it was constant. On straight roads it was ok. A complete check of trailer wiring was done and no faults noted. I've been told this may be a problem in the ITBC module. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Had a 2017 Silverado. Terrible issues with the six speed. They replace the torque converter, fluid flush, and all the other standard stuff. Worked good for a few months and started again. No help from the dealer. So I ended up taking a hit and traded it in on a new 2019 Sierra SLT X31. That was October of 2019. Truck has been great until today. Slamming hard in to first coming to a stop. So hard I thought we got rear ended. I tried coasting to a stop with little break, BANG. Tried a harder stop, BANG. Have just over 5,000 on the clock. I check trans fluid temp, 179f. Well within tolerance. Fluid is full, and appears normal color. Yes, I'm pissed. Service was already closed. I have a trip coming up in four days. A vacation. It was already put off once due to COVID. WE really need to get away. I will be towing a 20 ft enclosed trailer hauling two Spyders. Did I say I was pissed?
