  1. If I remember, and I need to check, the owners manual states not to use a charging cord to connect. I made that mistake first time I connected.
  2. I'm in Eastern NC. Gotta be faster on the keyboard.
  3. Don't count on the advisor to be much help. He/she will most likely pass it on to an assembly technician who will pass it off to engineering. Then you'll get a call back telling you that there is no problem. That's what happened to me over a problem with my 2019 Sierra. Some people will mention the lemon law. I don't know if that would be an option. Good luck and keep us posted.
  4. Explained very well. Happens all the time here in NC. There's nothing wrong the truck.
  5. Have tha same thing in my 2019 Sierra. Especially backing up. Dealer says it's normal. But then, your bumper could fall off and they would say that's normal. I'm trying to figure it out too.
  6. No. The wife would not be happy. My current 2019 Sierra will be here for awhile. Unless of course, I win the lottery.
  7. Agree on that. Though I don't understand rust on brake pads. Rust on the outer edges of the rotors I understand. On the pads, no. I noticed you live in Vermont. Would the rust be from road salt? I would like to know what the dealer says.
  8. Lane change alert works with side blind spot alert. Two different functions. You might want to check that.
  9. Agree that most problems like this are ground related. One thing seems overlooked. Disconnect the light bar and see what happens. Even if you don't use it. My guess is that it's an LED bar, if it's wired into the fog lights, it should have a separate relay. Sometimes these add ons are hack jobs. I've seen it and have had to correct it, if it can be corrected.
  10. What specifically are you looking for? Replacement? Exact switch?
  11. Thanks for the input. Taking it to the dealer for the fourth free oil change. Going to give them a heads up before I go. Tell the service writer I want a tech to ride with me. If they refuse, the owners office is just down the hall.
  12. Have a 2019 Sierra SLT X31, yeah, that's a mouthful. Anyway, when coming to a stop, I've noticed the transmission wants to "jerk" in 1st gear creating a bit of a thump, if you will. I've tried several ways of braking. Light, medium and heavy pedal. It still wants to jerk to a stop. At one time, back last year, every stop caused very hard down shifting. Of course the dealer found nothing. Has anyone else had this or a similar issue? If so, what was the outcome?
  13. It's ok to see this on screen. But I'd rather be up close and personal, get a much better impression.
  14. Retired June 1989. And thank you as well.
  15. I had that on my 2019 Sierra when I bought it. Turned out to be a mark from the plastic cover they use when shipping. After a thorough cleaning (by the detailer at the dealership) it went away. My main complaint concerning the windscreen, is not being to clean the inside very well. It's due to some type of coating put on at the factory.
  16. This is a problem across the industry. I will not take any of my vehicles to the local Chevy dealer, which I have been a customer of for nearly 25 years. They screwed up my new 2017 Silverado, twice. They messed up my wife's 2014 Impala on a simple oil change. Both bought from them. Other people I know have had bad experiences there. They were bought out a few years ago and are now owned by a multi dealer company. The local Ford dealer messed up my friends truck. The local power sports dealer could screw up an anvil with a rubber hammer. That is unless it's an off road vehicle. The dealer where I bought my 2019 Sierra is 1 1/2 hours away. So far they've been ok. But then, all I've had done there are the free oil changes.
  17. Agree with WAZE. I use it on long runs. I'm retired USAF.
  18. I have a 2019 Sierra as well. I haven't received any notification for update. GMC does have my email as I get other mail from them.
  19. I just read the same thing on some other sites. Unknown when production will start back. Meanwhile, Ford is dropping their 3.0 Powerstroke from the F-150. No reason why
  20. Don't have an AT4, have the Sierra X31. You mention a 6 light mod and mirror lights, again, not familiar with. I do know there are complaints about the LED lights, even on low beam. I have had oncoming traffic flash their high beams at me. I usually ignore it. I have the auto dimming feature which lowers the high beams if I forget. You say you aligned your lights. No offense, given the fact the front end is higher, maybe they need adjustment using the proper equipment. The problem down here is the Carolina Squat. Which soon may be banned here.
  21. Loose connection? I agree with Army Guy.
  22. Agree with Redwngr. Being affected by rain or puddle indicates outside sensor.
  23. Warranty does not cover normal service. Usually one free service is included. When I bought my 2019 Sierra, the dealer included 5 free oil changes. It is up to the dealer as to how many oil changes are included. When I had my 2017 Silverado, only one free service was included. Of course, it was a different dealer all together.
  24. There are several things that can interfere with TPMS. Cell towers are not one of them. Think about this, if a cell tower interferes with TPMS then it stands to reason, cell phones and bluetooth would also. And if that were the case, you would most likely get a low pressure reading. If I remember, which at my age is suspect, the service TPMS message could be set off by a wheel speed sensor, faulty TPMS sensor, faulty antenna (that is the tire mounted "sensor"), glitch in the module that houses the sensors.
