No difference in factory exhaust sound, but you can hear it suck air when you hammer on it.
I put on a Borla catback and bed cover in the days after the intake install and can say I picked up 2-3 highway mpg
Right now the cluster is showing 17 mpg at the 400 mile setting. Mostly highway. I have the Rotofab intake and Borla S-type catback with quad tips. Factory setup 6.2 10 speed boss with 18’s and Duratracs.
I can’t stand the DFM now that I can hear it with the intake and exhaust. Even in sport mode the throttle is too relaxed for me. (Came from a BMW)
When cruising down the highway you can hear/feel a different noise and more vibration in the truck as it’s going down to 2-3 cylinders. When I select L9 it is constant V8 mode and no odd noise.
I bought a 6.2 not a Prius.
Sounds good. I’ve got to get rid of the DFM and the helicopter noise. I wonder if the fuel economy has decreased because of the increased throttle sensitivity?
Thanks for the feedback.
With everything setup, have you noticed any changes in the trucks behavior once selecting sport mode? Say throttle response set to 3 on normal mode and switching over to sport mode does everything carry over and once in sport mode even more aggressive?
In the market now to pick up something to disable the DFM on my L87. I know the pulsar has been the go to option but I see some new hand held tuners that have piqued my interest.
Anyone go after one of these new handheld programmers?
Hey Mike@Diablosport, can you give us a rundown on what’s different between the Edge, Superchips, and Diablo? All were released roughly the same time and all under the same corporate umbrella.
Getting near for my first oil change and wanting to put in a magnetic drain plug. What is the thread pitch/tooth count on the factory drain plug?
