  1. No difference in factory exhaust sound, but you can hear it suck air when you hammer on it. I put on a Borla catback and bed cover in the days after the intake install and can say I picked up 2-3 highway mpg
  2. I put a rotofab on my 6.2 TB and have been really happy with it.
  3. I have the Borla S-Type with quads on mine. Perfect IMO. Also have the Rotofab intake.
  4. I would go readylift over rough country. https://www.readylift.com/2-25-front-leveling-kit-w-control-arms-at4-trail-bossgm-1500-truck.html
  5. Dimple drain plug. M12x1.75 https://drainplugmagnets.com/cars/gm-chevy-buick/
  6. Right now the cluster is showing 17 mpg at the 400 mile setting. Mostly highway. I have the Rotofab intake and Borla S-type catback with quad tips. Factory setup 6.2 10 speed boss with 18’s and Duratracs. I can’t stand the DFM now that I can hear it with the intake and exhaust. Even in sport mode the throttle is too relaxed for me. (Came from a BMW) When cruising down the highway you can hear/feel a different noise and more vibration in the truck as it’s going down to 2-3 cylinders. When I select L9 it is constant V8 mode and no odd noise. I bought a 6.2 not a Prius.
  7. Sounds good. I’ve got to get rid of the DFM and the helicopter noise. I wonder if the fuel economy has decreased because of the increased throttle sensitivity? Thanks for the feedback.
  8. With everything setup, have you noticed any changes in the trucks behavior once selecting sport mode? Say throttle response set to 3 on normal mode and switching over to sport mode does everything carry over and once in sport mode even more aggressive?
  9. Are you running a Pulsar or one of these new handheld tuners?
  10. Yep done some research on them with the exchange ECM service. It is what it is. Are you running a Pulsar?
  11. Edge, Diablo, Superchips
  12. In the market now to pick up something to disable the DFM on my L87. I know the pulsar has been the go to option but I see some new hand held tuners that have piqued my interest. Anyone go after one of these new handheld programmers?
  13. Hey Mike@Diablosport, can you give us a rundown on what’s different between the Edge, Superchips, and Diablo? All were released roughly the same time and all under the same corporate umbrella.
  14. Getting near for my first oil change and wanting to put in a magnetic drain plug. What is the thread pitch/tooth count on the factory drain plug? 2020 L87
  15. Just wanted to share some info on the back ordered GM 6.2 performance intake. I picked up my TB the first week of November. Waited for Thanksgiving weekend to order the intake/exhaust combo. Order initially went through for in stock parts, (shop Chevy parts) but Monday morning an email came through stating the intake was on back order. I approved the wait time for the intake and then ship the completed order. Followed up a few time between then and now with no info on when it would come off back order. contacted GM Performance about it and not mention info given on when it would be available. No precise date on when I could expect it. Mentioned the pandemic had caused disruptions. At this point with the weather warming up I’m. Or going to wait any longer but will go aftermarket for an intake and exhaust. Don’t hold your breath if you are waiting for the 2020 6.2 performance intake.
  16. Just got a lighted hitch cover for Christmas. Official licensed product. Anyhow, it gives the truck an electrical fit every now and then. Activate the turn signal and blinks like normal at first then blinks fast as if a bulb is burned out. Warning messages will display on the dash saying to check trailer lights. When you first start the truck it knows something is plugged in and asks what you would like to do. It gives the option if its an accessory to hit cancel. However it will still give the truck a fit. Any idea whats going on or point in the right direction to read on it? 2020 6.2 Trailboss Thanks IMG_5803.heic IMG_5805.heic IMG_5808.heic
  17. Early last week I special ordered a 21 Sierra, reg cab, 8ft bed, 5.3L, 4x4, locking rear diff, high output alternator, up fitter switches, integrated trailer brake controller, spray in bed liner, dark sky metallic last week. No pictures, not even a VIN yet.
  18. Hi gang, name is Mike. Special ordered a 21 Sierra, reg cab, 8ft bed, 5.3L, 4x4, locking rear diff, high output alternator, up fitter switches, integrated trailer brake controller, spray in bed liner, dark sky metallic last week. No pictures, not even a VIN yet. Anyhow, just a brief about me. Retired USAF and took an auto body job as a body tech up north at Minot ND. Lived in Germany for 7 years and special ordered two BMW's. One for me and one for the wife. After getting up here at the end of April 90% of the people I talk with mentioned I may want to look into something a bit higher off the ground and possibly 4x4 rather than my rear wheel drive cars. Talked it over with the wife and decided on a pickup. Wanted the most use out of this next vehicle so reg cab 8ft box it is. Dont need another vehicle to haul people as both cars can handle that. Also do a fair bit of detailing/polishing paint and no stranger to the detailing world and running polishers. Really excited about getting a full size pickup. Last truck I had was 99 S10 extreme. Thanks for having me, Mike
