  1. See picture. Anybody have any idea?? I’ve searched and can’t find out what it is.
  2. Haven’t pulled our trailer with anything else so I can’t compare, but I felt pretty confident in our 5.3 TB as a tow vehicle. Got caught in some nasty 35+ MPH cross winds and rain. Didn’t phase the truck/trailer one bit.
  3. AT4 have the Duratracs? I agree the tires and shocks are a little soft but not a deal breaker. If you ditch the Duratracs at the first tire change you can get some tires with a stiffer sidewall. Will help with towing and gain about 3 MPG on the highway.
  4. Have a thread in the troubleshooting forum. DIC messages, check engine light, crank no start. Total mess.
  5. Thanks. That’s about where it was. Had to drop the truck off at the dealer. Think the ECM is haywire.
  6. Thanks. Don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but we had a 2020 we loved that got totaled by no fault of our own. After dealing with insurance, rental and finding a new truck this isn’t exactly what I was hoping for. Guess things could be worse…..
  7. The truck was a dealer demo. It had about 500 miles before they drove it approximately 250 miles to deliver it to us.
  8. Not sure exactly when it was built but the sticker inside the door says 11/21 so in that time frame. Praying it’s just a bad battery.
  9. 2022 3.0 LT Trail Boss with 822 miles. Just happened to me. Just took delivery yesterday. Got some messages about service vehicle charging system, battery saver active and then check engine light. Stopped for fuel and wouldn’t start. Like others was waiting for tow truck when I finally got it to start. Drove it straight to the dealer and left it. What a mess.
  10. So I went to fuel up. When I was done truck wouldn’t start. Tried to turn over for about 20 seconds each time and wouldn’t. Dash lit up like a Xmas tree. Had Chevrolet assistance sending a tow truck which was supposed to show up an hour and a half later. Finally after about 45 mins I had an idea. I pressed the start button without holding the brake pedal and opened the door to try to get it to shut all the way down. It did and after that it fired up first try. I drove it straight to my local dealership and left it there. FML
  11. Anyone have any idea what that is?
  12. What should the oil pressure be at idle on these? First diesel so I’m a noob. Seems low but I’m guessing that is normal for a diesel?? Any input is appreciated.
  13. Better be under warranty. It is brand new. Just took delivery yesterday. I will have to dig around and see if I can find my volt meter.
  14. Ok new message now. Battery Saver Active Bad alternator??
  15. Accidental double post
  16. Maybe it has something to do with that weird old man bar they added to the bed? Our 2020 didn’t have that thing.
  17. So dealer drove it here from about 250 miles away. I was at work so my father in law and wife drove it before signing. Didn’t have any issues. As soon as they left that message came on. I told my wife not to drive I and I would look at it when I got home. I started it up and it’s gone. Drove it about 10 miles. Brought it home. Have fired it up about 3-4 more times. Nothing. Very bizarre.
  18. Just picked up a 22 Trail Boss and this message popped up. Any ideas??
  19. Looks great. Do you have the 20” rims? Also is that the soft tri fold bed cover??
  20. I get what you’re saying. It does make it confusing, but you have to remember that if it breaks people need to be able to buy replacements.

  22. 9100-9300 is with the truck completely empty. Once you max your payload it drops what you can pull trailer wise. The combined tow rating is 15,000lbs. If you max your payload the truck is around 7,000lbs which leaves 8,000 max on the trailer. Even then most people don’t recommend going much over about 80% of the max combined. I would say a 7,000 pound trailer is the max you would want to pull with a Trail Boss.

  24. Had a 2020 Trail Boss 5.3 10 speed. Towed our 6,000 pound 25 foot trailer like a champ. Will be getting a 22 3.0 diesel soon to tow the same trailer. I can report back on that. Don’t think you would have any issues. There is a TFL video of a Trail Boss getting put to the test. I will see if I can find it.
  25. Has anyone tried out the Curt Tailgate Sensor to prevent damage to the Multipro/Multiflex??? Thoughts?
