I just bought a 2008 gmc sierra 1500, I found the remote start doesn't work. I have a code reader plugged it in said no codes stored. took it to the mechanic in town, he's not GM certified but has a snap on reader, he hooked his reader up said no stored codes. the pick up will act like it starts I think its the fuel pump you can hear then the lights flicker but never tries to start. the check engine light is never on when I drive it but after it doesn't start I can see a check engine light through the window on the dash but 2 code readers said no stored or active codes. It has 3/4 tank of fuel. And I made sure the hood was closed. any information would be helpful
