  1. you might consider taking the VIN to a dealership and see if they can produce service records.
  2. i'll have to add my two cents, after 20,110 miles on my 2021 crewcab 4x4 it began "misfiring" and diagnose finally was #3 cylinder error and lifter............hopefully the fix will be forever as it is embarrassing as a chevy owner FOREVER AND EVER with 4 different 5.3 engines that this is all of a sudden happening, especially to a new one!!!
  3. mine has the 8" screen if that makes any difference.
  4. my friend has the same problem with his 2021 silverado. as opposed to my problem where it would revert to 0 and to add these issues mine would not hold equalizer settings and auto volume rise as the vehicle increased in speed. none would hold where i set them. i continued to complain to the guy who sold me the truck and FINALLY he suggested bringing it in and they could re-flash something. i suggest taking to the dealer and having them re-flash the card or chip or whatever it was. in the meantime i will be writing my salesman to see if he can give me a nitty-gritty fix they did. good luck
  5. similar problems with mine, would not hold volume preset, would not retain equalizer settings, and would not hold startup volume. after being persistent they finally 'flashed' a chip or something and it all works great now. something about one of the chips. stay with them, there is a problem they should fix....that's bottom line.
  6. i had similar issues with the stabilitrac coming on and the fix, finally, was to replace the battery ground cable. why it was bad is beyond me, i feel it should have been a GM fix for improper build of a cable but it fixed the problem (this was on my 2014 truck). good luck.
  7. had similar issues where the volume would go back to 0 as well and the company finally agreed there was a problem and supposedly reflashed some chip .... it works fine now.
  8. i had radio issues with mine, the basic "Infotainment system" where i would set everything, volume, equalizer, etc., and all would work well until next day when i went out to begin my day with it i had to do it all over again. i convinced them to do something and the salesman told me they 're-flashed' the chip (i have no idea what that means but it worked. i never had the issue you describe but who knows, it could require a similar "repair". good luck.
  9. even i have heard of this problem. my associate pastor just purchased a similar pickup, just color difference and he has your problem, i.e. loud upon startup. i was having just the opposite problem, the radio would go to 0 volume, plus he equalizer would go back to 0 and the "volume increase with speed" went to 0. i finally convinced the dealer to check it out, i.e. "Flash the radio" as he said and problem solved. hope something simple like "flashing" might be your issue. interested in knowing what the solution is.
  10. i might be wrong but i thought all vehicles did that, basically so the service people wont have to go looking..ha who knows.'
  11. it sounds like you have already checked cables but might check the ground cable and i think there is a braided one somewhere you might check. i had similar issue with my 2014 but it was more like not having a battery at all and after a few seconds most of the time it would start right back up without problems. Good luck and hope you find it before taking to mechanic.
  12. does anyone know if the infotainment 3 system can be upgraded to an infotainment 3 plus or even infotainment premium by just replacing the "module"????
  13. not only does my equalizer go back to 0 but the maximum startup volume goes back to 0 and the audio feedback changes, auto volume goes back to none........ this is on a 2021 infotainment 3 system.
  14. similar issue with my radio in the 2021 silverado crew cab 4x4 V-8. it won't hold max startup volume, won't hold equalizer settings, etc. haven't had it during winter so don't know about that issue. so far my comments have gone to the dealer but they say there is no service bulletin out. hmmm
  15. i have the opposite problem. i set my volume where i like i and over night or the next time i start it, it goes back to zero or no volume, among other problems with "settings"..
