I drove the 6.2 8 speed for 3 years in a 2017 GMC and had nothing but trouble. Never was right. My wife bought a 2019 and they STILL hadn't fixed the issues 2 years later, and had to have a tranny flush before the first payment. I can say that my new 2020 6.2 with the 10 gets now where near the MPG, and I don't think it is as quick, even with the "performance package". I personally would be leery of the 8 speed. Just my $.02...

I'm not even sure I have in-bed connectors. I don't have a camera right now as I sent the new one back, and am trying to get some resolution as to exactly what's going on. I.e., is it the camera or the truck. I might try another camera at some point, but right now all I have is frustration...

I too am at my wits end. Ordered a camera, 84580657, from a GM parts warehouse, that initially was erratic. Sometimes connected, sometimes connected with no camera option in the camera app, sometimes not recognized at all. Eventually got ANOTHER camera from the dealership (who know absolutely nothing about this option). New camera was 85004154. It shows connected, but no video, and not option in the camera app (camera is greyed out). I've checked plugs, and they are connected, and I've tried every combination of plugin procedure known to man. I'm of the understanding that for the basic trailer camera package without invisible trailer, all you have to do is connect the trailer via 7-way and plug the camera in(?). I did this to test camera, and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to work. I don't want them any where near my RV in light of their ignorance of the system. I too would appreciate ANY guidance to make this feature work, since the dealership charged me $250 for the option on the window sticker. Thanks.

So i have been all over the internet trying to find some guidance. 2020 Silverado with trailer camera package (no the invisible trailer). FIRST camera worked intermittently. Sometimes it shows connected, sometimes connected by no option for the camera in the camera screen, sometimes it worked. It finally failed completely. Second camera, same thing, except I have never been able to get video. It shows connected, but that's it. My dealership is clueless about this option. I am very frustrated that I bought an option that should be plug and play and am getting no assistance. I too have tried every combination of plugin procedures, asleep, hot, everything. It is a very nice function when it works, but it is very sketchy. My dealership wants me to bring the RV in so they can install it ($$). I don't want them anywhere near my RV after their displayed knowledge of the situation. I'm at the end of my rope!!!
