Mine has been doing pretty much the same thing for a few years, 2015 Sierra 3500 SLT. had it back to the dealer twice. First time they said the GM Engineers told them that it needed a software update. Did that and same issue the next day. Second time they had it for two days and said they couldn't get it to do it. Go figure. It will switch to the menu screen and back to radio screen back and forth, it will also change to the clock and eventually freeze up. I can still hear the radio the whole time. It will also switch the the screen between the gauges to the radio station. Now it just started popping up trailer brake service on the dash on and off several times. No trailer hooked to it. I have noticed it to be more when it is hot out side. It won't do it all winter. When the cab of the truck cools off it all will pretty much stop. It will do it almost all the time if I use the remote start in the summer, but again, not in the winter. I have been trying different little things to prevent it from doing it and if I let the chime ding three times before starting, it usually won't do it. may not have anything to do with it but it seems to work. Lol. If it gets to irritating to me, I will pull over and shut the truck off, remove the key and wait till all the computer's go to sleep and restart it. returns it to normal most of the time.
