Just got the Sealight 9005/HB3 9006/HB4 LED Bulbs Combo Package and an very happy. Just got them installed last night. Was super easy and fit perfectly in my 2000 GMC Sierra 4.8 SLE. And what a difference I drove them for a couple hours last night and a huge difference for visibility over the stock Halogen's. Just drove for one night but do not feel they are on the "too bright blinding people" level. Even states in the description that the cutoff line is as clear as Halogen. I just did the high and low beams but now plan on getting the rest of the light's LED as well. Cannot believe I waited this long. On a side note my headlights were yellow hazed so I did a light restoration on them to really make them better. What a huge difference between the two mods I feel 100% safer driving at night now.

Thanks and I read some of the reviews on the kit and you are right they say it works out the box for my year truck. That is great news I will have Wednesday and will be replacing the Halogens. I just did the headlight restoration today and wow they sure cleaned up really good. the LED addition will surely make it safer for night driving.

So I do a lot of driving at night and need better lighting. I have been doing research on the matter. Some have the issues of the LED's burning out due to LEDs don't draw enough current and it thinks the bulb is burned out, also flicker issues, etc. Now I cant get exact information if this is true for my truck or not. I was looking at replacing my 9005 and 9006 lights with the Sealight 9005 and 9006 kit(can find on amazon). So my questions are can I just direct replace the bulbs with these LED's? Was it just that the older bulbs didn't have the chips but the new ones do therefore eliminating the power/flickering issue? Some with experience with my Gen trucks going LED please help out here. I did just buy the LED kit from Amazon.

Wow $1000 for the door handle replacement? Crazy. Glad I was able to do for just the price of the part ($35) and do myself farily easily.

You were right check the post after yours, Makes sense. Regardless the price difference for me between the double plat's and iridium I will no doubt go with the Iridium's. Thanks for your information

So the handle would just freely move about not opening, however luckily I could open from the inside. Did not see much data about this being the case usually it was bothinside and outside that would not work. Got the handle out and the Metal Latch that connects the handle to the metal rod link had broke. Auto parts store did not have so went to auto wrecker yard and they happen to have some new(door handle with link, he had said this happens quite often due to the cold as it freezes and the metal part that connects to the link breaks. So if you do research and are not finding info on the door just not opening from outside but is from outside it's either the handle itself or the handle linkage rod. All in all about a 30 minute job, just three screws to remove to get inside door cover off then three more to get the handle itself off.

May not see it but if it has frame damage they will total it and my guess is you have it the way it sounds.

You were absolutely correct with this statement. Was hoping I would like the Bosch's but last 2 weeks have not, rough idle, not as good throttle response. Just swapped with the ACDelco Iridiums and instantly could feel the difference.

Really Bizzare that AC Delco does not show the 41-110's(Iridiums) when you search by 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4.8. I ended up swapping out the Bosch Platnum's with the ACD's 41-110's(iridiums) and I tell you I noticed right away a difference. Better idle and better throttle response right off the bat. Reason I did was I just was not happy with the Bosch's, rough idle and not as good throttle response. I am not saying Bosch is not a good brand/company they have been around a VERY long time I just feel some products go better with certain applications/vehicles than others. This is one of those situations. To back to what started all of this, had one spark plug go bad(they were NKG Iridiums that am sure have been in truck for 80-100k(not sure as I bought truck and have had just 10k miles). The NKG's were pretty worn. Just wanted to get back on road so bought Bosch Platinum's. Just was not happy with them. Did research and asked questions and you guys all told me to go to AC Delco. So did and sure am glad that I did. So for all of you out there on the fence about going with one of the other brands just stick with OEM ACDelco. Just do it.

I have actually been reading about that on Amazon and eBay so told myself I am ONLY going to purchase from local parts store. This will ensure that I will not (hopefully) run into that issue. That is one part that I want to be sure is 100% genuine. Thanks for the info.

Did not specifically ask them but when using the filter to fit my truck at all these sites none of them show working with my truck. So just seems that the parts stores were never updated with showing the ACDelco Iridiums working. I did read some reviews stating they work for the same years Silverado's and GMC Sierra's so thats why I know they are fine. Will go with the ACDelco Iridiums 41-110.

I am sure I am right in saying that the 41-110 will work for my 2000 Sierra but want confirmation from you guys. Why has the data not been updated at the parts stores showing this plug works for my truck??

So have been told by many of you to go with the ACDelco Plugs. I can see there is Double Platinum(AC 41962) But where are the Iridium's for my truck?? I have checked all the parts stores(Napa/AutoZone/Orilly's, etc) and none show the Iridiums that fit my truck 2000 GMC Sierra 4x4 1500 4.8. When searching I see the ACDelco 41-110 but no where does it show that it will work for my truck. Please help as I want the ACDelco's Iridiums for my truck.

Great info. Can you explain the stock box mod?

Seems it is really between Spectre and K&N. Is the price difference justified for the K&N kit over the Spectre? My concern is according to some of the reviews the Spectre plastic piece that holds the filter breaks off. Also does not hold well onto the tube due to very smooth surface and slips off no matter how tight the clamp is. Experiences please and any "issues" you have with over the stock? Also do you need to reset the comp for the MAF? Thanks ahead of time.

Ok a quick search and looking at a review on Amazon for these AC Delco 9748HH wires now it makes complete sense at the two sizes. You can search for these wires( on Amazon and a top review with an image comes up and explains. Basically It comes down to the coils your truck has. Some have the Melco Coils(like me)(coils stamped 19005218) where the wires attach to the side(not below) therefore you need the longer wires the HH kit gives you. For those that have the Delphi coils((coils stamped 19005218) the wires attach to the bottom therefore the length of wires is a little shorter therefore needing the GG wires.

So for those that do the same thing as me and go into Autozone DO NOT get the GG set get the HH set.(Shown below)

Most excellent information and feedback. I swapped out the old wires with the new since I figured those old plugs were very old can only assume the wires as well. Easy enough to do, once I got the right length that is lol. Thanks for the information

Problem was in this case(due to promotions) I bought online. And unfortunately it did not state the length. That was the issue I had. And yes I agree that is typically what I will do when possible.

And we have a winner. Autozone has the AC Delco 9748GG and the AC Delco 9748HH both fitting my truck and the hard part is on their site it does not even show the length. The guys there were also confused, he said typically it will show the length but in these cases they did not. The funny thing is when I went into Autozone there was someone else with a 2006 Silverado with the same exact set I had(GG) and was returning that set saying they were too short also, we both laughed. He was able to get the last set of HH they had before I could so had to go to another Autozone a few miles down the road that had one last set as well. Not sure why Autozone shows the GG fitting I told them to correct it that it ABSOLUTELY does not fit. The HH were the exact fit that I needed like you said about 3/4" longer. There was about a $20 price increase for the extra 3/4" it seems but he said for my troubles he gave me an additional 10% off. Installed and happy as all is good to go(for now
