This might be a bit if long post.
Truck is a 2021 silverado LT. 5.3L
Just a hair over 30,000 miles.
So on 11/05 I got off work and went out to my truck. Started and had a odd start. Almost like the key or button wasn't held down long enough. Didn't think anything of and drove home about 2 miles later and hard knock from the engine, hard shifting from all gears and a rough idle.
Dropped it off at the dealership on Monday. Was not given a loaner and was not told how long it would be.
After going round and round for a month I finally talked to someone that told me the lifters went. They didn't say why the went.
Then they told me it was running fine but the throttle is stuck wide open. They tried to replace thr throttle body. Nothing. There now replacing the computer.
Over a month at the dealership and every week no loaner is available.
Corporate said they couldn't do anything about it.
This the 2nd time the computer had been replaced in this truck.
It's been nothing but a headache since I got this damn truck. I'm ready to park it in Chevrolet's show room through the front window.
My 2011 never had any issues over 350,000 miles and never replaced any engine parts in and it ran great when I traded it in. Biggest mistake I've ever made with a truck.
Sorry for the long rant.
Just wanted everyone to be aware that there is an issue with the lifters in this truck and engine model that seems to go out around 30,000 miles.
