  1. I found the problem to be the pickup ciol under the distributor plate. Bought a new delco distributor with icm installed. Once I got it installed it started right up. It's almost all it could have been. No sparks from new coil, no injector pulse. Just got it in. Now need to get the timing just right and see how she runs down the road. Thanks for the help guys.
  2. I have a 54 and 34 obd codes but havent cleared them to see if they come back. guy wants to tradr it for some work preformend. I I rebuilt the 350 about 4 years ago. Spun bearing. Put a 10/10 crank kit in it but also had it honed and all new parts, like rings, oil pump, water pump new cam w/lifter kit bunch of necessary stuff....he wasnt pleased with the bill. He's a friend but the truck has sat up more over the years than anything. I don't need it but it's a no brainer if I can get it back running. The fact the engine disable alarm was just removed by the krak hed that put in the fuel pump has me a bit worried. Not sure it's cranked sense. Don't want to ask him anything. We run in different circles. No knock on him, just don't know him and don't need his help. --- i think i could sell it as is and make money, but it can pull a stump out the ground when it's running. Gonna borrow a friends led test light to check trigger to coil next. I got battery everywher i need so I almost put a new Distributor in it. The ICM i did install was one i found in my basement and i usually don't keep bad parts......OK thanks for listening guys.
  3. So I've got a good FP relay. I was able to have someone turn the keu on. I'v got to check the exciter wire to the coil. My test light just turns on and stays on. I think i need an led test light. All my fuses are good. I've still got a clusterphuk near the drivers floorboard - see pic- The icm i installed late yesterday didn't help with the no spark from coil. Nor did a new coil, so jst trying to track down why no spark from coil, no injector pulse.
  4. On my way to make some more tests. I can hear the fuel pump if I remove the connector to the oil pressure sender and jump the 2 outer pins. (key off or on, never stops until jumper removed) There is also a 2nd smaller guage red eire "inline fuse that's no hooked to positive batter post. I have a feeling its either a power wire to charge the battery or? Gotta trace it to see. Was supposed to be running as is. Putting my effort into why no spark from coil when engine turns over. Then move on to TBI injector pulse...could be same problem. Replaced the ICM yesterday and coil. Think it may be a fuse or wiring. Looking for more info on the fuse panel below the gas pedel. There is no relay box under hood, just one FP relay thats oval. 5 Pin. I kow this isn't much info but gotta drive 30 mi to get to the truck. Will buy it if it runs. Prevoius owner just removed a security device(aftermarket) put a used FP in it. -- My main issue is no spark from coil. (it's new along with the icm i installed) distributo looks like crap but the pickup under the rotor looks ok.
