  1. I am sure hoping someone in this forum can help me save what will be a whopping tow bill if I can't fix this problem myself. Yesterday morning, I jumped in the truck and the battery is dead. Like DEAD . Good quality battery is a year old. I had to be somewhere so I let it sit and took my car. A few short hours later I used my jump box and it started right up. I let it run for a good bit then turned it off. Started it back up no issue. Didn't really pay any attention to the dash, just wanted to make sure it would start. A few hours after that, I started it back up and backed out of my drive and my back tires were locked up. Then I saw the 4WD service light and the CAL in the gear selection field. I read everything I could about how to reset the TCCM issue caused by the low voltage (?). Just repeating what I read. The process I followed was: 1. Make sure 4WD selector switch is in 2WD 2. Turn the key to the Accessory position (not the run position, just Accessory) 3. SHIFT TRUCK GEAR SELECTOR INTO NEUTRAL (step I left out at first) 4. Turn 4WD selector switch all the way past 4LO into the N position and hold in N for 30-45 secs If this is performed right you should hear a audible "clicking" /switching sound from the actuator motor on the t case (I let it switch about 3-4 times listing to the "clicking" sound before letting it out of the N position on the switch. 5. Turn 4WD selector switch back to 2WD 6. Start up truck and see if 4WD switching capabilities are restored. Sad to say, this did not fix my issue. I called my GM dealer where I bought the truck new and the tech told me to disconnect the battery and if that didn't work the truck would need to be towed to the dealer. . Tried it, didn't work. Is there any other option, other than a HEFTY tow bill back to the dealer for a TechII fix? I'm fairly handy but don't think I can tear apart the dash or disconnect anything under the truck myself.
