  1. Built some aluminum brackets to mount the 5 lights to and then wired it all into the Glowtie. The come on at dark with the light switch in AUTO or if you turn the switch to PARKING. Surprised I didnt break one clip doing the bumper and grille removal.
  2. Well if you are Android and signed into your Google acct then you wont get them. I'm still getting them, even after disabling every stinking thing I could find in the system that remotely resembles Google. I did contact the Social Media email address that I found on this forum and sent them a message. They advised that I contact someone from their Connections Center Team. Well that didnt go well The young lady that I talked to was very insistent that in order for me to quit seeing the pop ups that I needed to log into my Google acct. She failed to understand that I want nothing to do with Google in my truck and signing in to rid myself of the annoying pop ups was not an option. In short, I was told that Google is embedded into the software and there is no way to eliminate the pop ups, unless you sign in! What has this world come to when the manufacturer is dictating to vehicle owners what they can and cannot have with regards to their infotainment system? If I dont want something I should be able to delete it, and not have it annoy me with requests/advertisements for their software! Its almost like telling me that the truck has a radio but you only get one station and thats one u are gonna listen to. We all know we are having every move tracked by a device whether its your phone or your smart tv, etc. Why would I want to have every move made in my truck tracked as well? Bad move in my opinion by GM to embed this software and not give owners the option to opt out of it, and not be hounded to opt in every push of the start button.
  3. Tr this...I just did it and it seems to have helped. I'll see when I leave work if i get any of the annoying pop ups on the way home
  4. I recently traded up from the '21 RST to a '23 Trail Boss 6.2L and was wondering if there is any way to stop these annoying Google pop ups every time I get in the truck? I thought I had gone thru all the settings and disabled anything that had to do with Google, etc but they are still there. I run iOS so I have no need for anything Android, Google, Alexa and I'm tired of the barrage of "enable this, subscribe to that" messaging. Also, is there a way to get rid of that huge analog clock on the right side of the display? TIA
  5. I had mine powder coated in black chrome...turned out nice.
  6. Thinkware F200 Pro is working great for me. If you dont want the rear camera just drop the Pro. It can be hardwired but right now I just have it plugging into the OBD port.
  7. F200 Pro is good enuff for me and inexpensively priced. No issues so far.
  8. I would definitely go for an SS version. In January I traded in my 2005 SS with 265k for my 2021 RST. It was starting to show its age but overall it was a great truck. Never left me stranded. Towed a boat, car easily with the 6.0L. I think it was less than 1% of all the Silverado's made those years that were built as SS's and with the move to "green" vehicles I'm not sure we will ever see another Silverado SS. Really pissed me off when they started putting an SS badge on a Cobalt!
  9. I just installed the AWE set up with quad tips. I love the sound, its seems louder than my sons Borla S. Just curious why the dealer removed the leather from the Denali? Ur truck looks good!
