  1. I figured it out myself!!! Without help from any dealer or my friend. I mean I guess wrong instructions count as help but.... So it is still X1 as it says in the old instructions but for 2022 refresh they rotated the BCM 180deg to double up modules onto the same bracket (ELM on the right, BCM on the left side). But the connector is not grey as stated in the document, it's black now. However it still looks the same and it's still pin 1. This will work for the denali door sills install. For footwell lights its a bit trickier. Basically the pins are not off the shelf. Molex makes these connectors and parts for GM only. However I work for a supplier and have some spare cut offs with a stub of wire with a crimped pin on it. I'm willing to ship out if you pay for shipping and small finders fee (PM me). I'll contact Molex and see if we can get uncrimped pins from them or not but I have a feeling they will say no unless it's business related. My next step is to electronic load test this circuit to see the cutoff. It's possible you may be able to drive some footwell lights directly. Will keep you guys updated.
  2. I figure I'll try the muffler delete pipe for $100 that I just bought online. If I get tired of the sound I might investigate your idea or the muffler I posted at a later date. Still curious if anyone else has used or heard of someone using a XForce Varex though.
  3. Hey guys, Anyone have experience with an XForce Varex muffler? Thinking about getting one instead of the Borla system since I have the 5.3L and want to be able to adjust between wide open and muffled. Could do electronic cutouts but still want the rear pipes for sound and reducing the droning. Also a cheaper solution. Not sure how I would hang it however, I'm guessing just band clamps wouldn't be good enough. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/xfo-vmk21300

Like I said, be careful about current draw however. Those USB wires are probably around 22 gauge so don't push the cig plug ever.
  5. Well my dealer like most is a pile of crap. They now want me to bring the truck in to tell me where one wire goes. What a joke. I'll play with it more today and hopefully figure something out. I also have my friend inside of GM checking...
  6. I added one to my rear seats in my 2022 Sierra just for gigs. The mod that inspired it was the boost auto center console charging pad. Now I have two charging pads and a cig plug. https://boostautoparts.com/products/2019-newer-gm-charging https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008Y96IC8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-power-outlet-cap-84166962 Just don't load this plug over 5A if you do this, the wires you tap off of for the pad are thin. If you wanted to just add the cig plug without the charging pad mod, I could probably find the connector you need for the plug. LMK if any interest.
  7. That 7.5V that you measured was probably a PWM signal from the BCM to the dome light directly. Would need an oscilloscope to confirm. I'm trying to confirm for the refresh models now in my post here (for anyone interested): I'll be able to figure it out soon as I have contacts inside GM and also at the dealership.
  8. Hmmm I'm guessing the ecu that controls my tailgate isn't flashed with the proper software. I have the fob on the tailgate and no matter what I do I cant get my 2022 refreshed 1500 to lock the multipro portion. It just unlocks and does nothing after holding it for 10+ sec. Tried locking and unlocking to wake the vehicle but nothing. Will bring it to a service center to check it out.
  9. No update from the dealer yet, I tried quickly probing around the ELM and some of the BCM but couldn't determine anything just yet. There are a few 12V pins but none of the few I found toggled with the map light (if it is even supposed to). Best bet is to wait for the dealer's response and pinnout.
  10. Never mind, I'm just really stupid and didn't realize it wasn't on the furthest depth setting (there are two holes). Cheers!
  11. Hey guys, Bought a new 2022 sierra 1500 and also a B&W multipro 2" hitch but it just barely hits it when fully down. Maybe by 1/2"? Has anyone solved this issue for the refresh model years? Seems they changed something in the geometry from past years... Here is the hitch I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C2KT6GP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I'll try and grab some pictures tomorrow before I send it back. Also noticed that my tailgate electronic lockout for the multipro doesn't work as described in the manual. Checking with the dealer on this, I have the Denali so it should have all the bells and whistles you would think...
  12. Quick update, the connector specified in the document is wrong for 2022 refresh, working with GM now to figure out where it moved to. Pin 1 of X1 on BCM is already populated and the wrong wire size. The refresh and newer models have the ELM right above the BCM and X2 (circle on pin 1) on the ELM looks like the one in the manual GM sent, I'll try to connect and confirm.
  13. Maybe this post should be moved to the electronics section, if a mod see's this feel free to move it.
  14. Hey guys, Figured I'd pass along the instructions I got for my Denali door sill light install that I received from the dealer since you can't find instructions anywhere. It's the first connector facing the driver on the BCM and it's pin 1. My bet is you could use this same pin position for footwell lighting and I plan to test that next week with an electronic load before I tap into the door sill power. The BCM most likely has a current limit for that pin so I will figure out what is it and post back once I figure it out. Background is my denali didn't come with the lighting package from the factory so I added all the parts but they don't tell you what connector or pin slot to put the harness into. I'll post later what the connector pin part number is so you can crimp your own harnesses for footwell lighting if you don't have the door sill harness to tap off of. I bet this applies to all 2022+ refresh and beyond. scan2022-09-21-095150-compressed.pdf
