I also have a 2019 Silverado RST 5.3L with 60,123 miles on it. Last week I was driving home multiple errors popped up (service esc, service parking brake, check engine, etc.), engine has a ticking noise (rocker/lifter) and is missing and down on power. I am 123 miles out of warranty. GM has graciously offered to pick up the first 25 miles of towing, so I'm on the hook for a $5-7K repair bills, $11K if it wiped the cam. 123 miles - unbelievable. With the widespread lifter failure inherent with these engines and the cost of repairs, I am not surprised that GM did not issue a recall. I have owned, built or raced nothing but GM in my lifetime, and I will never buy or own another one. Utterly disgusted with GM.
Does anyone know of a reliable fix or retrofit to replace the DFM lifter setup? Thanks for any help!!
