I was able to figure it out. Had to loosen the screw on the outside that held the handle mechanism in place. Had to angle it inside the door so I could see the torque screw through the handle hole and with a long torque screwdriver was able to turn the screw to allow the handles to work again… Wasn’t the easiest but got it done

I’m in the same situation, how were you able to get the door open?
