  1. Yes, that was the original connection to the shark fin as I remember. pretty easy to do and my xm works 99 percent of the time without moving the antenna
  2. I finally got around to relocating the xm antenna due to the truck camper blocking the signal sometimes. Thought I would share how I chose to do mine as I had a hard time finding the Fakra adapter I needed. I chose to go into the driver side A pillar. Rather easy to get to. It is the gold/yellow connector. The adapter I bought of of amazon. [ bingfu Fakra z male to male ] I already had a xm antenna. We are leaving soon for a cross country trip. I can move the antenna around easily to see what works best. The blue adapter is what I purchased. Took about an hour to do after finding the adapter.
  3. Only you can answer that. For me, I am glad I have it, as I like to monitor things, as well as what gear I am in. I went to the east coast and towed a trailer back to the west. My trailer lights would appear disconected at times, as the dic would read sometimes. After looking on the internet trying to figure out why, it was confirmed by the voltage gauge I had. I would have only been guessing without the gauge. When towing, alot of times you think you are in 10th gear, but you are not at times. I like knowing, but probably not necessary.
  4. I would like to relocate my xm antenna when I have the cab over camper on. Anyone know where the xm antenna plugs into? I have the work truck trim. Have read it is on passenger side near floor, also have read it behind the rear seat, and also behind the radio?? Thanks
  5. I did not know you could disable it. I was not complaning, as I like not having to buckle up when getting in and out around the garage. I will check into that.
  6. When I first got my truck a couple months ago, I had to buckle the seat belt before I could put it in gear. As time went on, I noticed if I quickly put it in gear, it goes in without the seatbelt locked. Now, I can take it out of park and into gear without the seatbelt when I want to. any body else notice this ? Maybe it was an ota update??
  7. I had the 3500 dually lbz. 320000 miles when I sold it. I always replaced everything that was needed with ac delco parts. Truck was in perfect condition when I sold it. Only reason it was sold was because it did not have enough payload for me. Probably had a lot to do with the flatbed I and a friend built. I buy and sell truck campers as a hobby. These new truck have a great payload compared to the older ones. I would still have it otherwise, but I sure do like this one. Here is a pic of the new owners driving off.
  8. Scan Gauge had ask for me to let them know if it worked or not. I let them know this morning as they were closed over the weekend and mentioned about the 1 for park and reverse and first. This is what they said: If Park, Reverse, and 1st Gear all report as 1, this is how the manufacturer reports these through the ECU. It is not uncommon for Park and Reverse to share the same value, as well as with 1st gear. If you have any questions, please let me know.
  9. Glad it worked out for yall.
  10. Autozone online gives a 20 % off coupon on anything above 125.00, shipping included, as least they did Saturday.
  11. I do not have a scan gauge 3, nor do I have a 6 speed, but it had to be added through " X Gauges " for the 10 speed. May be the same for you. Can not hurt to try.
  12. Ooops, getting old sucks. 229.00 tax included
  13. Where at, I may cancel. Mine was 329.00 tax included?
  14. ooops, autozone online.
