  1. Yes, that was the original connection to the shark fin as I remember. pretty easy to do and my xm works 99 percent of the time without moving the antenna
  2. I finally got around to relocating the xm antenna due to the truck camper blocking the signal sometimes. Thought I would share how I chose to do mine as I had a hard time finding the Fakra adapter I needed. I chose to go into the driver side A pillar. Rather easy to get to. It is the gold/yellow connector. The adapter I bought of of amazon. [ bingfu Fakra z male to male ] I already had a xm antenna. We are leaving soon for a cross country trip. I can move the antenna around easily to see what works best. The blue adapter is what I purchased. Took about an hour to do after finding the adapter.
  3. Only you can answer that. For me, I am glad I have it, as I like to monitor things, as well as what gear I am in. I went to the east coast and towed a trailer back to the west. My trailer lights would appear disconected at times, as the dic would read sometimes. After looking on the internet trying to figure out why, it was confirmed by the voltage gauge I had. I would have only been guessing without the gauge. When towing, alot of times you think you are in 10th gear, but you are not at times. I like knowing, but probably not necessary.
  4. I would like to relocate my xm antenna when I have the cab over camper on. Anyone know where the xm antenna plugs into? I have the work truck trim. Have read it is on passenger side near floor, also have read it behind the rear seat, and also behind the radio?? Thanks
  5. I did not know you could disable it. I was not complaning, as I like not having to buckle up when getting in and out around the garage. I will check into that.
  6. When I first got my truck a couple months ago, I had to buckle the seat belt before I could put it in gear. As time went on, I noticed if I quickly put it in gear, it goes in without the seatbelt locked. Now, I can take it out of park and into gear without the seatbelt when I want to. any body else notice this ? Maybe it was an ota update??
  7. I had the 3500 dually lbz. 320000 miles when I sold it. I always replaced everything that was needed with ac delco parts. Truck was in perfect condition when I sold it. Only reason it was sold was because it did not have enough payload for me. Probably had a lot to do with the flatbed I and a friend built. I buy and sell truck campers as a hobby. These new truck have a great payload compared to the older ones. I would still have it otherwise, but I sure do like this one. Here is a pic of the new owners driving off.
  8. Scan Gauge had ask for me to let them know if it worked or not. I let them know this morning as they were closed over the weekend and mentioned about the 1 for park and reverse and first. This is what they said: If Park, Reverse, and 1st Gear all report as 1, this is how the manufacturer reports these through the ECU. It is not uncommon for Park and Reverse to share the same value, as well as with 1st gear. If you have any questions, please let me know.
  9. Glad it worked out for yall.
  10. Autozone online gives a 20 % off coupon on anything above 125.00, shipping included, as least they did Saturday.
  11. I do not have a scan gauge 3, nor do I have a 6 speed, but it had to be added through " X Gauges " for the 10 speed. May be the same for you. Can not hurt to try.
  12. Ooops, getting old sucks. 229.00 tax included
  13. Where at, I may cancel. Mine was 329.00 tax included?
  14. ooops, autozone online.
  15. Mine also says 1 all of the time, except when moving. No big deal to me. In case someone else was interested,The cheapest I was able to find a new one was at auto zone. I saw that someone on another forum posted about it, 20 % off which was a good savings compared to what I was finding. Shouls be here next week sometime. May be cheaper somewhere else.
  16. I did not see this when I started another under the gas truck forum, scan gauge 3. The codes from scan gauge are there for the gear indicator for the 10 speed.
  17. I will be buying the scan gauge 3 Monday, as the gear indicator does work, at least on my scan gauge 2. Torque converter slip works also, but I do not have it understood yet. I was looking for lock up. Here is the info from scan gauge telling you the info for the x gauges. The 2 is just to small to keep messin with, but it does work. I labeled mine gea and tcl: Our engineer believe these two would work. He focused on what you were after first and what he already know, but he'll look into finding anything new time permitting. Let us know how they work and if you have any other question don't hesitate to let us know. 18. I called scan gauge and was wanting to see what gear the transmission is in and also the torque converter lockup status. I could see this on my 06 duramax. I was aware that this could not be displayed, and edge cts3 does not support this engine, and may not ever, being as they can not tune it yet. They sent me a data logger to plug into the truck for about 30 min, and hopefully get some more x gauges. I did it and sent it back to them Monday. I got an email from them saying what they found. I do not know if this is anything different from what is already available. Maybe someone with a scan gauge 3 can chime in, as I have not bought one yet. I am waiting on a response to see if my scan gauge 2 can see these. This is what they said: The engineer has gone over the data logger and the below sensor are supported in your vehicle. Please let us know what you would like to monitor? We found Gear and Torque Converter Slip (TCC Slip) supported which is the closet thing we have to Torque Converter Lockup. 19. Thanks, I followed it back to something beside the gas tank. Evap canister I guess. I never would have thought it was a vent by looking at it.
  20. Thanks for the info, I will go that road if this turns out to be something different.
  21. Would anyone happen to know what this plug is for, as it is attached/hanged , behind the capless fill. You have to look under the truck to see it. I am looking for the wires for conecting a 7 pin trailer/ camper wires. My lbz had them taped under the bed in this area, but not a plug end on it. My new truck is a 24 gmc 3500 dually, gas. I know I have them at the rear, but this area is best for me. Thanks
  22. Being as I already own it, I think I will wait for a while to see if they get support for it. Tech told me it may work on 2023 models, but did not know.
  23. Hello all, just got a 2024 3500 dually gas truck to haul my slide in camper. I sold my previous lbz duramax and kept the cts3 to use in this truck. Was hoping to see the transmission gear selector and othe things. It does not work at all and edge tech support said it is not supported. Just passing on info, cause I could find it when I searched. Only 150 miles so far, so nothing to report other than it sure is a nice truck. The payload is huge.
