I am not sure, but your radio should have been already had the software update to android 12. I think they just found out at a later date that they only needed to update the serial data gateway module and could leave the radio software alone in its android 10 version. Have you checked to see if your radio has been updated in your settings?

I just had my recall performed yesterday and they have since removed the radio reprogramming as of 10/25/2024 as a 5th revision to the recall. So far everything is going great. I noticed the speed of my Apple CarPlay connection greatly increase. I posted as a new topic as well in hopes to inform others when they still have android version 10 after their service.

Just an update to the latest recall N242435631. I took my 2024 GMC 2500 in today to get the recall taken care of. I questioned why my radio didn’t show version 12 after the service and according to the latest revision of the recall released on 10/25/24 they removed the radio programming. Everything appears to be working perfect. I hope this doesn’t affect any Over-The-Air updates in the future.

In looking at the manual it mentions a Snow/Ice Mode. Does anyone know if and when will this become available to select as mine only has Normal and Off-Road modes? I am thinking it might have to drop below a certain temperature to be an option. I am attaching the text from the manual.

Hey Dave, I was scrolling through the posts. I had the same thing going on with my drivers side mirror. I took it into the local dealership and had them submit to manufacturer warranty and it was approved. I go in on Monday to get a new mirror put on.
