  1. There's no reason you can't accommodate customer's wishes and allow those with widescreen infotainment systems to be able to maximize our CarPlay experience with iOS 26.
  2. I would love that but GM has said they're moving away from CarPlay in order to focus on the awful Google Assistant system. So it's unlikely GM will be updating their system to take advantage of the far superior larger screen format of CarPlay.
  3. Not true. I purchased mine a few months after buying my truck and had about 2,500 miles at the time. No inspection was required.
  4. I've bought a couple VIOFO dash cams for our vehicles and I like them. I hardwired both, which is the cleanest way to install them. Do a search on here to see what fuse slots I used. You need one ACC and one constant.
  5. My favorite YouTube videos are people loading their bikes and ATVs into their truck. Do yourself a favor, just just buy a cheap trailer. It's not worth the damage to your truck and/or bike.
  6. I totally get those who don't buy extended warranties..I'm actually one of those guys. However, after my last truck I changed my mind. I had a 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel. Great truck and loved it. BUT after 10k miles it needed a new engine. A month later a new transmission. 10k miles after that another new engine. Not to mention the 6-months in total it sat on the dealer's lot during all these lengthy repairs. So I ended up suing RAM (FCA) under the lemon law act. They settled with me and my Trail Boss was paid for in full plus some by RAM. So spending $2k on a $75k truck is a no brainer. Plus I look at it as a hedge against inflation. What would cost $2k now to repair could very easily be twice that in 8-years. I'm going to proceed with the Knapp purchase. Thanks all!
  7. When I purchased my 2024 Silverado the dealership never offered an extended warranty. I would like to purchase one for my truck. I've contact a couple of local dealers and none have responded to my inquiry. Doing a Google search I came across http://www.knappvehicleservicecontracts.com that claims to sell the GM Protection Plan. They are also a Chevrolet dealer in Houston, TX. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of purchasing an extended warranty from them and are they the same as the GM Protection Plan? Everything appears legit but I just want to make sure before forking over $2k.
  8. Following along. It's odd there is no setting for phone volume level because it's WAY lower than the radio volume. Same thing applies to the screen brightness. Needs to have a setting to adjust that.
  9. When I purchased my truck the Finance Manager never offered me an extended warranty. I don't know if he sensed I wouldn't be interested or GM is no longer wanting to offer extended warranties since they're probably a loss for them in the long run. Will GM send an offer to purchase an extended warranty when my truck hits the 3-year mark? Mopar did that with my RAM Rebel which I purchased since my Rebel was already on it's second engine and transmission.
  10. I put my Ram Rebel wheels on my TB and they're just slightly larger than the OEM wheels. Here's a screen shot of the calculator I used to get the difference.
  11. This is concerning as I just bought a 2024 LT Trail Boss a few weeks ago. I have no intention of paying for any onstar services, I hope I don’t run into this too.
  12. My truck came with an owners manual and a quick start guide but neither discusses the oil change intervals, capacity or oil weight to use (aside from what's on the oil cap.) Am I missing a manual or are we suppose to just wing-it?
  13. Did you not read the thread? It’s already been resolved. Also F3 and F20 are dead on the new Silverados.
  14. When I bought my 2024 LT Trail Boss with the short bed the salesman said it had a 28 gal tank. I asked for the build sheet, which didn’t show any detailed specs nor the gas tank size. Can anyone confirm if the new 2024’s have a larger gas tank?
  15. Unfortunately, I didn't see the above posts before resolving it today. I used fuse F42 (Electronic Park Brake Switch) 10-amp Micro2 as my constant. Using a circuit tester F26 (USB Ports/Special Equipment option Retained Accessory Power) 10-amp was the only fuse switched. It also uses the 3 prong fuse however the fuse harness I got on Amazon didn't fit. I had to use a file to shave down the edges all around to fit in the fuse slot. Once I did that it work. Hopefully this will help anyone else with a 2024 Silverado.
