  1. 100% accurate - GM Covered the entire rebuild.
  2. Great advice - Thank you so much and I appreciate your wisdom - Point taken - Have an amazing day.
  3. Dealership stated the oil was analyzed and sent to GM before tear down - they claimed it came back good.
  4. Would love to see pics of your Malibu - I am running a ZZ502 in my 70 Chevelle Malibu but pulling the engine this fall for cam, lifters, intake, carb, rockers and pushrods.
  5. How funny that my truck is identical to both of our trucks and the 2nd dealership "could not duplicate the noise". Went there, super friendly, got on the asphalt and in less than a minute started to recognize it - We are on Day 3 and waiting for the call. I am a huge GM fan boy and so want this to be normal but my experience and gut is telling me differently.
  6. Well - ready to join the party - 2019 Sierra 6.2L / 10- Speed - 57k - 0/20 Mobil 1 oil changes every 4-5k - Mobil 1 / Wix Filters every oil change - Premium fuel since purchased - First dealership was, well, let's just say will never go back - off to the second dealership next week - still in warranty (thank goodness) - I'll keep you all posted.
  7. Guess I am joining the party to an old post......2019 Sierra 6.2 / 10 Speed - Always ran premium and oil changes every 4-5k with Mobil 1 or Wix filters - Ran Mobil 1 0/20 for warranty purposes - dealer yesterday claimed they could not duplicate the problem - met them this morning with the service writer and the technician and they were shocked and stumped - They failed to communicate that they could not duplicate the sound and claim they never ran into something like this - it is now scheduled to go elsewhere with a more competent crew.....
  8. Just picked up from dealership and they said on Day 1 they could not duplicate the sound (This is after telling them, in person, with a video) with the details - Cold start nothing - 3-7 minutes noise - 20 minutes later all gone - Had to call out the service writer and the mechanic whose response was "Oh it didn't do that yesterday" UGH - they have no clue and wanted to throw parts at it with a wild witch hunt and no clue as to when it would be done (Did I mention the first day they had it, not a call, text or email with updates) - anyway - beware my friends and I am off to the next dealership (still in warranty) after that it's off for cams, DOD delete and tuned out of system - enjoy the video (Still find it hard to understand they could not duplicate the sound since it has been going on for some time).
