Wow good to hear. I guess my GM dealer doesn’t get these bulletins or doesn’t want to. I even to the mechanic out for a ride and put in 4x4. Said it was brakes and wanted to charge 900 dollars. I said no way. I am going to bring this bulletin down them. Thanks for the in
I have 2020 Silverado. Same symptoms, did a ride along with dealer mechanic showed how it stops in 4x4. They took in and told I needed brakes. Checked wheel bearings all good. My mechanic said front brakes were good maybe your tire. I needed tires 70 k. Noise stopped then started again. Could be the front brakes ( bad indicator). I am trading it in so let someone else look for it.
So last year had a notice on my dash that I needed to replace rear pads. They were at 42 %. Now my front pads are at 35 % and no notice on my dash. But it’s squells but not all the time. I am assuming I need pads. Going to unhook the sensor and see.
Hey guys. So my front end noise. Had the mechanic at my Gmail dealership come for a ride. He thought it was brakes until I put in 4x4 and noise stopped. Brought the truck in today and they still say it’s my front brakes need replacing even though the computer says there at 65 percent. Didn’t know why noise stops in 4x4. Very frustrating. Especially when charged 200 dollars.
That’s the same noise I hear. Problem is when I drop off at dealer they will say they can’t hear it because it hasn’t warmed up. Hopefully they can tell.
Having the same type of noise on my 2020 Silverado. Checked wheel bearing and front end is good. My noise is not all the time either. Starts at over 40 kilometres an hour. Can’t figure it out. When it’s shifted into 4x4 noise stops.
2020 Silverado. Whistling noise from front end. Had wheel bearing checked all good. Happens at around 30 miles an hour. Not brakes. Also when truck has been travelling for awhile. For what ever reason I switched to 4x4 and noise stopped. Could it be something in differential.
