Chevrolet would maybe consider it if a local dealer, diagnosis the failure along with you had brought it in prior to failure while still under warranty for issues relating to lack of power.... Well that is what I found out this week after Chevy Ducking me around for the past 4 months. I am out of Engine Warrantee but still in powertrain and I was told they wont do anything for me.
I had the Pulsar LT since new back in 2021, with Disabled AFM/DOD.... there is a service letter for Chevy 2020/2021 built engines for 8 months they build engines with lifters failing internally that where supposed to be changed prior to sale of vehicle.
If you do rebuild it and want to have DOD/AFM delete done, it will cost $1000 US for someone to Tune it VIA HP Tuners, plus you have to send your VCM to HP tuners at around $ 500 to get unlocked, also have to buy 6 Credits at $50-60 a credit to have your truck tuned on top of a tuner's cost.
I barley had a failure just started to Tick, needless to say I need CAM, Lifts, pushrods, Main bearings, Cam Bearings, gaskets, oil pump etc............ HONESTLY for the price of parts labour and TUNING, buy a crate engine its cheaper I personally wish I did after adding up the cost of everything, with down time and rental vehicles.
