  1. @bsprtsgrp: i know it's been a couple years since your last post, but I'm super curious if this resolved the issue?? to all: 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 WT and having sluggish starter speed. Battery tests as good, Alternator tests as charging. (tested with my load tester and also at two auto centers) Super clean engine bay overall (i have not traced everything to the terminal points yet). I put the battery on a smart charger overnight and bring it to 100% and it spins the starter and starts fast, as it should. Two days later, the battery is down to 60% and spins slower but always starts. (has never dropped below 60%) I've done this multiple times. While at idle and no accessories on it is showing 12.3 volts at the terminals and also at the alternator. With AC and Headlights on, it will show 13.6 volts at battery and at alternator. Any perspective helps but looks like maybe I should run down these grounding points as a start? Thanks guys.
  2. good thread. lotta good info here. following.
  3. good timing. considering the same upgrade.
  4. Anyone having any issues with heat when running high wattage LED? just curious. About to try an updgrade bulb install on a 2017 Sierra and want to keep the truck, lens and wires safe from overheating. Lasfit was a fav or a while. Tech is moving fast. what the latest best tech?? Thanks!
  5. without more info it's hard to comment, but here's what i experienced... 6.0 gasser. ticking on start up and sometimes a very rough sounding start up... after chasing lifters and everything i could think of, I dropped the pan and the O-Ring between the oil pick up tube and the oil pump and collapsed... apparently this is not uncommon. A $6 part and the problem was solved. A pain in the butt, but it was that simple.
  6. about to embark on a similar journey... want multiple aux switches in my 2017 Sierra 2500 WT. Interesting the incredible amount of work found in this thread. Curious if anyone has tackled this and developed a plug play setup or is willing to build one? I'm low tech but mechanic savvy (not electrical) and i'm open to the idea of paying the smarter of the group to build out a plug/play harness. (i realize there's info missing here, but it's just a query and to keep this amazing knowledge thread alive)
