  1. I have the MultiPro tailgate and have not received the recall. Also haven’t had any tailgate issues. I filled the holes with silicon only to keep the smidge of water that gets by the ARE cap rear door during high pressure car wash. I posted on the other thread awhile back about the tailgate issues. GM could have taken note from the boating industry and put a drain fitting with a nipple and hose to drain water to the bilge. For the tailgate, have the drain hose go to an area below the switches and any electronics in the tailgate. Or use waterproof marine switches!
  2. My recall is the same as Mickey’s.
  3. I got a call from the dealer today asking if I still have the 2024 GMC that I bought there. I replied yes and he told me that there is a recall for the trailer brake control module. Since I still have the truck, he was going to order the part and let me know when it arrives. I ordered the truck at their dealership in Oct 23 and picked it up after prep Jan 18, 2024. I just had it their service department this past Monday, July 15, for the second oil change and first tire rotation. Maybe some people trade or sell their trucks with 6700 miles on them!! I just checked the myGMC app for recalls and the Intermittent Loss of Trailer Brakes recall is on there. Release date: 7/16/2024, the day after I was there. I'm happy they informed me of the recall. I only tow a boat with surge brakes and a utility trailer with no brakes. Ya never know if someone wants me to tow something with electric brakes.
  4. @newdude Thanks. I wish I knew that when I was taking the caps off. I put the retainers back on but will probably use the GMC caps from my truck on the winter wheels so it matches instead of the Chevy caps. The funny thing about it was that my last truck, a GMC 1500, I had a set of Chevy wheels for winter tires/wheels that I got used. Half of the year had GMC wheels, the other half had Chevy wheels.
  5. @newdude Thanks for the info. I thought I had to remove the retaining rings to get the caps off. When I took a front wheel off of my truck, the center cap came off with no issues and didn't remember seeing the retaining ring but was more focused on the numbers on the back of the wheel. I'm going to leave the center caps off for now until I get new tires on the spare wheels and have them balanced.
  6. A couple of months after I got my 2024 GMC 2500HD AT4, I removed one of the front wheels to get the GM part numbers from the back to look around for factory wheels for winter with snow tires. I went to the parts department at my dealer with the part number and found out that could have told me the part numbers from looking up my VIN. Who knew!! HA! I looked around online and the gm parts websites all wanted a $50 per wheel core charge. I thought it was odd because it's not like I wanted to return a wheels. Dealer gave me a quote of $3314.90 that included a $200 core charge and tax. I questioned the core charge and probably looked at him like he was on crack. After looking at FB marketplace (small market here) I saw wheels I liked but were not close like somewhere in Long Island, NY, NJ or CT. I found a set of takeoff wheels from an offroad shop in southern VT that appear to be from a Denali that they had sent out to be powder coated. They came with Chevy center caps and the wheels have a GM part number on the back. P/N 23377034. The center caps had a wire retainer on the back that I removed to get them off. When I took my front wheel off, the center cap came off with no problems after taking the lug nuts off. Are the wire retainers just for shipping? I'm guessing my center caps are held in with the regular clips and wonder why they don't pop off on rough roads unless the lug nuts keep them secure. I didn't pay a lot of attention when I took it off. I put a retainer on one of the center caps to show how they were. Any thoughts?
  7. Thanks. I select the boat trailer when towing the boat. I've noticed the same thing with my utility trailer which I have set up too.
  8. Saw two of them in Georgia last weekend on a trip to see my new grand-daughter. One black, one silver. They look like something in a future Back to the Future movie. Saw quite a few dumb looking trucks while there!!
  9. Does anyone know how this is calculated? I have a boat/trailer that I've towed 3x with my current truck that has the trailering app on the dash. I set up the trailers for the boat trailer and a utility trailer. Previous trucks didn't have this feature or the drive summary. The drive summary is around 10 to 12 mpg trailering my boat/trailer to the ramp 12 miles away. The trailer average mpg is around 5.6 mpg. I would think that trailer mpg would be close to the drive summary but it's around half. It's not really a big deal as I only travel 24 total miles when I go to the lake. Any insight?
  10. BFG still makes the KO2's. The KO3's originally came out for the AT4 HD in LT275/65R20 and one other size for another OEM truck. BFG is rolling out more sizes of the KO3 over 2 years or so. Mine aren't bad set at 55psi. I think the tread pattern for the KO3's is made to handle better in the rain than the KO2, read that the KO2 is good in snow. I have Hakkapeliitta LT3 snow tires on order to put on spare GM wheels for Oct to April.
  11. @Pryme My cousin bought a 2024 Chevy 2500HD LT that came with the Michelin LTX A/T2 tires and likes them. Your trucks probably run smoother with the 18" LTX A/T2 tires than mine with the 20" BFG KO3's. But mine looks pretty bad ass!!
  12. I removed the fuse panel today which is usually where the aux fuse box mounts on other models. I do not see any place to mount the aux fuse box like I see in Upfitter 193d. So is it possible they made a totally different dash panel for the AT4 and Denali compared to the other models that have the upfitter option available? If so I find it strange.
  13. I’ve had my dash panels off for another project but did not notice if there was a place to mount the upfitter fuse box. I wish I would have took pics.
  14. I agree. I think there are other places but the description isn't very clear. I'd like to see the install instructions before considering.
  15. I ordered my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4 last October and was delivered in January 2024. Before ordering, I was pretty sure I knew all of the options, etc for the AT4HD. Tonight I saw the Universal Module Option on the list of interior options. I check every now and then to see if the upfitter option is added and don't remember seeing this option. Anyone know if this is a new option?
  16. Anyone seen this? Not sure if modifying the cup holder package tray is for the 1500 refreshed truck or 2500HD. I'd like to see the instructions. There is nothing about it on the upfitter website. https://404parts.com/products/2024-sierra-at4-denali-hd-upfitter-auxiliary-switches-package
  17. @UWSkier I use the MyGMC app to see the percentage of gas tank is left. Also shows the mileage left like the dash shows. For those that run there tanks down to the low fuel light, more power to you, I never do it. I fill up before I get to 1/4 tank.
  18. @64BAwagon Update: The 7 way trailer plug that I put together to charge my battery was for my 2018 1500, the trailer plug 12v was connected to the main battery, did not have an aux battery. I found out after getting my 2024 AT4HD, the 12v at the trailer plugs are connected to the aux battery. Won't work anyways!
  19. @UWSkier Nice write up. I've had the issue where the alerts switch to the seat vibrating instead of beeping. I think it changes to the seat vibrating after having a trailer hooked up and using the trailer app onscreen. I haven't fully confirmed it yet. Either way, I don't think the settings should change on their own.
  20. GM running boards installed by the dealer during PDI. ARE CX Classic cap ordered and installed at local dealer. LED strip lights that I added to cap and wired to the bed mounted 7 way connector. Ram phone mount for iPhone with MagSafe added to console square. 12v socket mounted to dash to the left of center console wired to Aux battery.
  21. Can already adjust the TPMS on a 2024. I adjusted mine to 55psi front and rear and adjusted the tire pressures accordingly with an Autel TS508. I can't adjust the tire size, etc but no problem with the tire placard tire pressures.
  22. Rerouted the wire loom under the dash to behind the heater duct and tucked the excess in the console panel. Also some finished pics. Plan is to use the USB socket thing for plugging in my Garmin Inreach Satellite Communicator. My last truck had two 12v sockets, one was always on and used it for charging the Garmin every day or two. I could charge it in camp but would probably forget it so I leave it in the truck during hunting season.
  23. Just wanted to add that to make it easier to work on the feedthrough from the engine side, I laid a moving blanket across the front of the truck and engine. I used a ladder next to the front of the truck with the blanket protecting the truck. I initially tried working next to the drivers side on a HF step stool and was not able to see what I was doing.
  24. More pics. I ty-wrapped the wiring/wireloom to the other wiring in the engine compartment away from any liquid carrying hoses. Last pic is where I mounted it before wiring it.
  25. First pic is wires inside the cab from the feedthrough. Second pic, socket is mounted to the lower dash to the left of the console with the Scotch fastener. Third pic: I moved the excess wiring/loom away from heat duct output. I tucked the excess in the side panel. I might move it more to the right of the heater duct. Fourth pic: Wiring in loom from dash feedthrough. Fifth pic: Wire loom from feedthrough to aux battery.
