  1. 82000 all the dealer said is you will have to appeal to gm.... Out of warranty
  2. I just picked up my 2019 RST from the dealership this evening. Exactly the same symptoms as the OP reported.... Collapsed lifter on cylinder #5, camshaft damage. A week later and 9800.00 bill I am beyond pissed at GM... Take the advice of bikerjon
  3. I have been growling at these exhaust tips since April. Finding an easy way to get them off has ended in frustration at least 4 times... No more!!!! They are off and will be dropped at the powder coater on Tuesday. This right up was awesome!!!! It takes about 10 minutes on each side with an air ratchet. Thank You for the right up!!!!!!!! Andy
  4. GM Customer Service (even the escalated level) is a joke. They denied the "Climate Off" issue for months, even with the information from several hundred if not thousand customers had the issue. They troll these forums but don't use the information shared...
  5. Well........ The only issue I was having was the "Climate Off" issue and it seems to be fixed...
  6. I have bought 4 trucks from Chesrown over the past 10 years... I would have continued to be a customer there if not for 1 reason... Wyler was willing to make a far better deal... So I guess it's true, you get what you pay for. Chesrown has good people and a great customer lounge... There was just too big of a difference in the deal.... Oh well.... Jeff Wyler doesn't care about their reputation or their customers... They have made that perfectly clear
  7. I too have had this issue on my 2019 Silverado RST. This is the best part... My truck was in for a recall, oil change and tire rotation and this "climate off" problem was on the list. The dealership Jeff Wyler Cheverolet in Canal Winchester (Columbus, Ohio), said that this issue could not be diagnosed because I had installed a radar detector and a behind the grill light bar. They claimed to have taken pictures of it and sent to GM to invalidate my warranty. Both my "aftermarket accessories" are plugged into accessory spots on the fuse block. They say it could disrupt the computer. Problem is I have documented that I have had these issues since day two with this truck... Well before anything was installed. They even threatened to remove the "aftermarket accessories" if the truck was brought back for warranty work. Seriously??? This vehicle is MY property. It's a way the dealer is trying to cover their ass because their technician is too stupid to troubleshoot issues. I understand that GM doesn't have a fix for this yet, but they do know of the issue and a current technician should be able to know what is going on, rather than to try to blame it on a customer installed part... Public Service Announcement - I'd think long and hard before I buy or have anything serviced at Jeff Wyler Chevrolet in Columbus, Ohio Andy
  8. A couple of weeks ago I saw an ad or post from Battle Born Off-Road about a behind the grill light bar for the 2019 Silverado. I was quite interested because I have read about problems putting a light bar behind the grill on these new models because of the active shutters in front of the radiator on these trucks. I had a behind the grill light bar on my 2016 Sierra and the extra light really helps on some of the dark areas I roam... I was quite disappointed to find that I may not be able to have the same thing on my 2019 Silverado RST. So Battle Born Off-Road posted an add for a set-up made by Baja Designs. It incorporated their S8 20 inch light bar, a wiring harness and mounting brackets. I inquired about the kit and if it would actually work. These guys called the manufacturer and confirmed it, so I pulled the trigger. The S8 light bar is awesome and it has a pretty slick amber accent light built in. This 20 inch bar really pumps out the light and has focused lenses on the bar. Installation was quite easy and after I got the grill off it took about an hour. The only week part of the kit is the directions in terms of removing the grill on the Silverado... If you are looking for a behind the grill light bar for the Silverado, this kit should top your list. sorry for the picture quality, but it's all I have at the moment.
  9. It's about a month old... I can't list the mods because it would give the wife evidence... Silverado RST
  10. Do you have the mounting instructions for the 20" behind the grill '19 Silverado RST? Does this kit work with the active shutters?
  11. Yesterday evening I went exploring and found some seldom used circuits associated with the trailering package in the fuse box under the hood. Used a fuse block tap and I am a happy camper.
  12. I am looking for a ignition switched power source, under the hood, to power my 30 inch light bar. The Rough Country kit has lit power switches and although it is a led, I would prefer to only have them lit when the truck is running. Any suggestions? Andy
  13. It seems chimes and turn signal sounds are more refined, so I say yes, it does.
  14. So, I bit the bullet and purchased the Kicker Powerstage Soundgate "kit" from www.shopgmcparts.com They had the lowest price that I was able to find and don't believe any of the BS from AutoAnything about pricematching... They don't do it. They try and use smoke and mirrors, but they fail. Anyway, the install was easy. My strong suite is not reading directions, but the directions provided were actually clear and helpful. With the helpful information provided within this thread I was ready for the hard part of fishing the power wires through the firewall. That was the most difficult part. However, thanks to the other posters, I thought it went as simple as can be. The install took about 2.5 hours, simply because it was cold out and I was in no hurry. Oh and somebody routed the cable to the sub woofer backwards. Remember, read the directions... How does it sound? Frickin amazing. Far better than I expected. My own media is simply awesome, but what impressed me is what it did to XM. I wasn't sure how much it could help the compressed audio from outerspace, but it improves that 110% as well. The best part about this way of doing things is everything is plug and play and you keep the factory look of the dash... Andy
