    When i was talking to ray from 'raylar'after i had the cam installed, I was asking about oil/fuel.. he told me he never understood wh gm says to put 5/30 in the 8.1 he told me to run 15/40.

    Definitly 8.1 , Ive also had both and the gas wasnt much better at all in the 6.0. both my 8.1 trucks dont use much oil.. Its definitly less then 1 qt in 3000 miles. The guys that knock the 8.1 have never driven or owned one! the only thing you could complain about is the mileage which again isnt much worse then the 6.0,s Its one of the best motors gm ever made, My most recent one is in an 04 silverado with 243,000 miles, It fires rite up and runs like a champ!

    I like it like that because you can actually get your foot on the step comfortably, Especially with boots on..How much body lift is that?

    Nice. That's my favorite price. Chris, congrats on the 6.0, I loved my '07 vmax. Don't eat that whole burrito, you may blow a different gasket... HA!!! LOL..

    +1,!! A fresh fuel filter is always a good start..And regardless if it was the problem or not..Its new and one less thing to worry about! But the cats are important..Ive seen cats after 230,000 miles and they looked new. Also seen cats with 50,000 miles and 3/4 clogged, Many things can get them shitty, Bad fuel, exhaust leak for a long period of time,etc...

    Sounds like a clogged cat to me, I had that with an old 4.3 mini box truck, it couldnt get out of its own way..kept downshifting even on flat roads.. I cut that cat out..And it ran like a new truck!

    I felt great when i changed the fluid in the allison..It honestly looked like the new fluid in the bottle, The 1st owner obviously took good care of it. The trans case fluid did not look like new!

    Thanks..that all makes sense..Probably why ford went with two turbos on that 6.4 they made after the disaster they had with the 6.0! Im going to definitly do the suncoast ally for the big block truck, And the d-max truck if i get one.. The guy at duraburb said the allison holds up pretty good up to 450 hp and like 8 or 900 ft lbs..Anything moe then that and it will go into limp after 3-4 times hammering into it.. Do you have the stock wheels from that truck? Im looking for an oem set of 17,s

    Hey chevy.. If i got an lbz or lmm, Cant i upgrade the oem turbo and make power keeping it a single turbo, with a good tune? Whats the real difference between 2 smaller turbos or 1 big one...
