Good morning everyone, I recently purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT All-Terrain package. I'm personally wanting to install a leveling kit and I believe I've selected one. I've read a lot about leveling kits for 2017-18 trucks and this seems like a great kit. However, there isn't many reviews on this product by ReadyLift. The appeal of this lift is the UCA replacements and the <2" height it allows. I'm wanting to go with 305/55/20 or 285/60/20 tires with my stock AT wheels and I want as much clearance possible. I found maybe 2-3 members on here with this lift and I'll quote them below. My question is, will this work with my All-Terrain package? In the description of the kit it states, "Will not work on Z71 packaged vehicles with factory Rancho® struts." Yet on ReadyLift's website, there is nothing supporting that statement. Does anyone have any information or review for this kit? Thanks!

I've got a 2002 gmc sierra 1500 denali, i can't find a single company that makes a lift for the truck. I'd like to go any size between 3 and 6 inch but all the companies ive talked to say there lifts wont work because of the rear steer not being able to function properly. I really dont care about the rear steer i've never used it and never will use it so are there any lift kits anyone knows of that will work if i dont use rear steer? Thanks in advance!

I just ordered a Rough Country leveling kit for my 2019 Silverado. I know I can install it myself but will I need an alignment? Has anyone actually installed one of these on a 2019? Did it throw the alignment off? Was just curious if I should spend the money getting an alignment or not. Thanks in advanced. I have a newer body style 2019 if it makes a difference.

Yesterday on GM Authority (they had a story about vehicle-mounted keyless entry key pads (not fobs) http://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/10/keyless-entry-keypad-offered-as-gm-accessory-for-buick-chevy-and-gmc/. After a little more research and reading I have found that you can buy it as a kit and have the dealer or someone else install it. So I have a couple of questions. 1. Can I get it for my 2014 Silverado LT? 2. Does the installer need to be a dealership technician? 3. What is the general quality review of the new system? Thanks! So I’ve got a 2015 GMC Sierra SLT, crew cab z71 on factory 20” rims on factory tires, all stock. I’m needing new tires and I wanted to go ahead and knock tires and lift out at the same time. I’m new to lifting as I’ve always driven 2wds. I want to make sure I don’t go too far and look obnoxious but I’d just like my truck to look “right”. I’m thinking somewhere around 3” with 33s but I’d be fine with 35s without lifting too high. I also definitely want the front leveled to the back no matter what I do. I don’t know the first thing about what I need to do. Mainly I’m just here for ideas and pictures of what you guys have done. Please provide whatever info you can. Like I said, I just want it to look good and not be anything too crazy. I’d appreciate any feedback I can get, I need to get this done within the next few days. Absolutely no trimming

I was debating over the rough country 2" kit or the readylift 2.25" leveling kits. I ended up choosing the readylift just for the fact that it is aircraft aluminum and not polyurethane type stuff like the RC is. The install was fairly easy and the truck looks awesome. Ride is the exact same as factory. The truck sits almost perfectly level, with only .25" of rake. Pics below are before and after. I also took off the factory running boards and the front vailance. I am looking at a 2-3.5in lift for my 2016 Silverado LT 1500, but I tow 3000-4000lbs daily for my job. To prevent the rear end from sagging, I want to add an additional leaf or a helwig helper. Basic vehicle dynamics tells us that stiffening the rear suspension and doing nothing to the front will create oversteering issues at higher speeds. What does everyone do to the front suspension to create proportionate front/rear stiffness when adding a rear leaf?

Upgraded my 6" suspension lift with 35s to a 9" suspension lift on 37s. I was going to add a 3" body lift on top of the 6", but decided against it because I really wanted to add a grille guard to my truck, and that can't be done without custom brackets on a body lift. Plus the negatives of a body lift aren't appealing. Went with a McGaughys 9" suspension lift. Had a 5" drop on my 2007 Escalade from them, and was happy with the quality. Plus their kits are made in 'Murica, so that's a huge plus for me. Ordered from http://www.mcgaughys-suspension.com/ , great guys and treated me right. Shout out to Sean (I think that's the right name) who made it all happen. The truck: 2014 Silverado 1500 2WD 5.3L V8 9" McGaughys Suspension Lift 37x13.50x20 Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains 20" Raceline Wheels Vehicle rubs on the front lower splitter at certain angles; will be removed. My biggest concern is the rear tires are now wider than the rear wheel well opening. So now we I tow again and the truck squats as normal, it isn't going to work. Suggestions on how to prevent this issue? Thinking helper air bags. Suspension lift is solid, drives excellent. Tires are quiet for their size (I am a Nitto/Toyo tire man for life), with no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend the lift kit. Yes I know I am missing a center cap. So I have been looking around for a level kit I think I want to go with a 2inch level on the front. But I'm not too sure on what one to get? I have seen the rough country one for a reasonable price. I was also looking at motofab. Is there any others that I should consider? Also with a level kit void a factory warranty? Post some photos of your level lift! Or give me some input on things to be aware about.

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado with the RPO code ZX3. The code is for the suspension package which is ride-control/ride control manual selectable. I am on the verge of replacing the shocks, ball joints, steering linkage/tie rods/bushings. I am trying to find out what replacement parts would be correct to keep the electronic controlled shocks. I don't need to keep that option but if I am going to eliminate that then I would like to know what issues that creates. I would also like to know how to fix any codes that would come up by deleting that system. My ultimate goal is a level kit, 2 to 2.5 inch front lift with all necessary parts replaced in the front end and shocks all around. If you know what suspension package I have on the VMAX then you know each shock runs around $250 which means I would already be at $1,000 just to replace all four. They need to go and I am looking for best viable option that makes mechanical and ride sense. Thanks all for the help.

I have a 2015 Sierra 1500 SLE 4WD and just installed a motofab 3" front and 2" rear leveling kit. Looks like it opened up some room for bigger tires. I will be ditching the stock 17" wheels and 31" tires. Probably get 18" wheels. Does anyone know how big I can go for new tires? Hoping to get 34" without having to trim much. thanks -
I installed the rough county level kit where you put a 1.5 inch knuckle on the bottom of the shock and a 1 inch spacer in the actual spring. on the website it says it keeps the factory ride quality, but when i drive and hit any type of hole, bump, dropoff, or speed bump it bounces into oblivion, I'm assuming because the spring is already so compressed. so the question is, is it worth it to have it sitting up that extra space on the front or should i take it off?

Hey everyone, I've owned lifted and lowered vehicles for years, but typically bought them way way. I've never actually done much of the customization myself. I know someone will say something like, try searching the site.....blah, blah, blah. Well, I have and there's so much good (and BS) information out there that it makes my head spin. Let me see if I can sum this up as quickly as possible. I have a 2016 Crew Cab 4x4 Silverado (deep ocean blue metallic) that I bought new last year. I had a leveling kit installed at the dealership (it was cheaper than the other places that I talked with), my truck came with 17's, which I absolutely hate. They're super tiny and look out of place. My plan is to upgrade to 20's and I want to put the largest tire that I can fit without rubbing. I've read about people putting 32, 33 & 34 inch tires on and claim that none of them rub. I'm not so confident about their claims. My other dilemma is that I do no like the look when the tires stick out several inches from the wheel well. That may be great for some people, but not for me. Ideally, I would like the tires to be flush with the wheel wells, but if they were to stick out a half an inch or so I would be ok with that. This is where we have to deal with backspacing. I'm sure that it is a simple concept, but it confuses me for some reason. A little bit too much, or too little, will make things look silly. I'm assuming that a 20x9 or 20x10 would be the best option, but I'm not sure. Let me know what you guys, and gals, think. Thanks in advance for your help.

As the title states, I'm starting to research some lift kit options for an old 2003 Bow-Tie. It's an extended cab stock z71 off road package with brand new BFG 265/75r16 tires. What I'm attempting to get out of this forum is discussion from owners of similar models that have gone this route and can give me some personal experiences. There are many options for lifts, but my preference is to lift no more than 4" and most ideally, just a 2" or 3" lift. I don't really want a leveling kit, but am open to suggestions from all areas. If I were to rank my vehicle knowledge, I would place myself as a 4/10. Possible lift options Zone 2" lift Rough Country Leveling Kit I'd also like an explanation on torsion keys vs suspension lifts (I don't plan on doing a suspension lift) so that I have a better understanding of what to expect to be careful with. I know torsion keys are going to extend the depth of the suspension and cause the shocks to not be able to travel as far, but I'd accept a rougher ride as a sacrifice for running bigger tires and having higher clearance.
