Good afternoon... this seems like an easy ask, but I’ll be damn I can’t find the answer... we have a 2019 Yukon XL with the dual screen dvd/Blu-ray player... I can’t seem to figure out which headphones are compatible with this player (except for the direct factor replacement and I don’t want to spend $200 for a pair of headphones). Any help would be greatly appreciated! -
Quick how to and review of the Cab Over America wireless cab lights. Link to parts: https://caboveramerica.com/ The parts: For just under $400 you get a set of 5 battery powered wireless cab lights. Each light consists of 4 parts; the aluminum mounting plate, rubber gasket, LED/PV panel module, and the top lens. The top lenses can be had in clear, amber or smoke. In our case, we went with smoke. You also get two remotes to control the lights. Overall the quality is high and what I would expect from something in this price range. You also get some small lenses that can be place inside the cab lights to change the lights to amber while still using a clear or smoke outer lens. Lastly you are given a Cab Over America tape measure. We laid the tape out but ended up using a tape measure for all measurements. The install: First step was to decide on how you will be playing out the lights. We went with the two edge lights and 3 concentrated in the middle. Others may go with the even spacing all the way across, completely up to you. Here's a test fit. Also shows you the clearance with the shark fin. Remove the two nuts, lens, LED, and gasket so you are just left with the aluminum bracket with screw posts. It was easier to measure and mount the brackets without all the extra parts. We also bent the brackets a bit to fit the counter of the roof in the location they'd be installed. Here they are laid out in position. Wipe down the front 10" of your cab with Isopropyl alcohol. This is to prep the surface for better adhesion. Starting with the cab light nearest to the shark fin, measure 4.5" up from the windshield and 4.5" from the rain gutter to the front stud. This will locate the front mounting post. The rear post of the drivers side cab light should also be 4.5" from the gutter. Using a marker to make temp markings so when you remove the tape backing you can guide the bracket into position. Remove the tape backing, heat up the double stick tape, and install using your guidelines. Repeat for the passenger side light. Find the center of the windshield, measure 4.5" straight back, this will locate the front stud of the center light. Make sure the mounting bracket is straight and mark guide lined with a marker, remove tape backing, heat up the tape, then install. For the side center lights, we offset the lights 7.5" from the center light centerline. Measuring 7.5" from the center light's stud to the side light studs we were able to locate the side lights. Both the front and back studs of the side cab lights are 7.5" from the respective studs on the center light bracket. After all the metal brackets were installed the rubber gaskets were reinstalled, LED modules installed, and the lenses were screwed down. Last step was to sit back and enjoy the lights. I know this is the truck side of the forum, but I think trucks have the same DVD/Blue Ray player as the Yukon XL...and there is a LOT more activity over here than on the SUV side. This seems like an easy ask, but I’ll be damn I can’t find the answer... we have a 2019 Yukon XL with the dual screen dvd/Blu-ray player... I can’t seem to figure out which headphones are compatible with this player (except for the direct factor replacement and I don’t want to spend $200 for a pair of headphones). Any help would be greatly appreciated! at some point even though the look the same the dvd player changed (maybe 2018?) but I know the remote isnt the same manf number for my 2019 than is is for the 2017.... thanks in advance for any help...

I have had a problem with my remote keyless entry system on my 2001 Chevy Silverado for at least a year now. I have not been able to unlock or lock my vehicle from any distance, rarely only within a few feet, and even then it is intermittent. I bought the correct replacement key fob, and through several long attempts I was able to program it to my truck, and it has the same problems as the original key fob, which I did try to re-program as well. I am quite certain the problem is due to the wireless receiver in the truck, however I find limited and varying information on where it is located to diagnose or replace it. I went to a Chevrolet dealer earlier and was told it would cost $150 for them to just look at it. I am capable of doing many repairs myself and would like to know if anyone could help find where the malfunctioning component is, or if there are any other tests of some sort that would help me. I have a 2015 GMC Sierra and a 2014 Chevy Cruze neither vehicles key fob will work when within 30 feet of another vehicle at the house a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. If I move the Elantra they both work fine. The Elantra has no issues with the key fob. What kind of signal could the Elantra be releasing to block the signal of only to the other two vehicles? I am stumped on this. Thanks for any help. -
I have a '16 Sierra with the wireless charging module. I now have an iPhone 8 Plus and it does not charge on the pad but it will charge on a 2018 model (the newer module with 3 coils). Any chances of having GM replace the wireless module with the newer one?

Slightly used Black 2016 Escalade Console lid with wireless charging module. Only used about 6 months, 6k miles. I traded the truck it was in so I took it out. Will fit 2014-up Silverado/Sierra 1500. 2015-up Silverado Sierra HD. Asking $295 plus Shipping. Located in Eastern PA. Includes Main Top Piece, Hinge, Inside cover and Wireless Charging module.

I've been trying to figure out which OBD scan tool to put on my Christmas list. I found this one that you use with wifi to your smartphone. I think i like it. Good deal on amazon for $17.99 right now, but you also need to pay $10 for an app to get all the features I guess. Brand new to this forum, but searched this topic with no luck. Just picked up a used 2015 Denali XL that was made in the early part of the 2015 model year. This one came without wireless charger on the console lid. Question is: I can purchase a New OEM takeoff console lid on ebay pretty reasonable. Is the wiring harness for the wireless charger already in place on this vehicle? Anybody know if there is a bridge/adapter harness to add this on? Buy a whole console harness? Is it even worth the effort to get the wireless charging? Thanks for any and all advise.

Cannibalize my existing Samsung Wireless Charger and installed wireless charging ability to my 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS. Minimal modifications (3 non-visible drilled wholes). Parts required are: Phillips screw driver, Drill and Drill bit. Source Charger might requiring some other parts. My job required micro Phillips screw driver, soldering iron, solder, sander, speaker wire (3") Electrical tape, and pliers. Enjoy and pass along any suggestions. -
