  1. I sanded and put 3rd and 4th coats of paint on "the" rusty underhood crossmember. If I'm happy with it, it'll go back in tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  2. I'd bet it's a door issue Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. Your 2000 should have been close to the same length as the current pickup. Do you mean the new one has a 6'6" bed or 5'4" bed? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  4. Just "downgrade" to a GMT800. It's what all the cool kids are doing these days. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  5. I found em. Definitely the way I'll go for my next set of tires. They'll save some money in the original mounting, and not needing to rebalance will be great. For the price I'm tempted to pull all the sticky weights off my rims and try them for the final 10,000 miles in these tires.
  6. Aren't they the kind of thing you can basically do yourself? Basically dump em in as the tire is mounted? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. Any more than 50% throttle from a stop and the 2006 chirps the tires. And it doesn't fall on its face after 15mph like my 1990 did. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. I'm planning on replacing the OE with a smooth one. The OE holds dust and I don't like the looks a lot. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. Any increase in trans temp before the big boom? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  10. They probably would have made it quite a while longer, but I go on a lot of trips where I'm a long way from spare parts. They'll go in the box for spares.
  11. I changed out my idler and tensioner pulley. They weren't bad, but the idler was getting "gritty". I did the AC pulley last year. Better to spend a few bucks now and change it than need a pulley and a belt on the side of the road. Over 137,xxx miles on the originals. Dayco belts are still looking good after 4 years.
  12. I'll get exactly whatever this one is when it's time. It appears to be the original and it has held up great. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/hrdp-1109-stock-gm-ls-engine-big-bang-theory/ Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. Seems like the Fords had issues keeping them IN the head, haha. I antisiezed and torqued mine to spec. Hopefully they'll come out as easily as the originals. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. You're supposed to dump them in with a skid loader. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. The water pump, thermostat, and fan clutch are cheap and all have to be replaced at some point, I'd start there if it was me.
  17. The way my luck with Amazon is, I always go through Rock Auto. Their shipping is more consistent. Even with Prime, it seems like Amazon is late more often than not. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  18. That's my concern, we do get a little snow here. She went to Colorado twice last winter and probably will this winter too. We'll see how many experience points I roll on over the summer, and see how they look in the fall. I'm still not sure about the cupping, since the front end is in good shape. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. Nearly 37k miles on the ATP's now. I don't think they're going to make it to the 50,000 mile mark. Still cupping just a little.
  20. Jan Collmer, unfortunately he passed away last January. He flew for 50 years. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  21. Do want. Do need. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  22. The plan is to dremel a spot in the tailgate spoiler for it. We'll see how it goes. I played with more of the head unit's features, it'll definitely take some time to learn it all. I already customized the home screen, I moved on all the stuff I'll actually use.
  23. Why not use a cutoff wheel and pop them out with a punch?
  24. My grandad's Extra in action.
  25. I like the layout so far. I'm a big fan of hard buttons for volume, home, and calling.
