  1. Have always wondered about putting efans on the Dmax. Replaced my left hand upstream oxygen sensor and took some measurements for a rear bumper I want to build.
  2. Not getting one this year. I worked on a design for a tube rear bumper and sent for a quote to powdercoat that and my receiver hitch. I really need a CNC plasma setup and a new tube bender.
  3. My driver's side Ox sensor gave up the ghost finally. First, it'd throw a heater circuit code, and now it's throwing a circuit efficiency code. Good thing I bought a new one 3 months ago....
  4. Of course, Manhattan here.
  5. Put on my new tag sticker. I decided to wait on putting my State Parks Passport on the windshield until I need it, in case my windshield were to be damaged before then.
  6. I wish they'd discount the used ones.
  7. I have a ruptured ball joint boot, so once it goes bad I want to do the whole thing, including bushings and sway links and bearings (I bought the cheap ones so they're probably about done). May check out CVs (not sure if they're rebuildable). Might do axle seals on front too if it needs it... $$$$
  8. Already offered mine. Tires need rebalanced though, and front end will need redone in a while.
  9. By the time I need new ones, I'll have considered every 265/70 tire under the sun. Unless I decide to go with 275/70. Looks like I'll need 22,000 more miles to decide. What kind of head and trailer? Always fun to see people cutting.
  10. I'd rather have them blade and nothing else. With good tires and common sense it's not an issue. Did Berthoud with 8 inches on it and didn't even need 4x4, due to how well the tires grab fresh snow. SLOW DOWN
  11. You didn't have any wood blocks with you? I don't think I've ever jacked up a tandem trailer. I'm still considering an air compressor. Just not sure what unit and which tanks would be best. With everything I need it'd be pricey.
  12. Have thought about getting a set, do they hold up well? My 20' boat trailer is narrow, it'd be nice to have a set to monitor the tires since I can't see them, but they'd get dunked. Monitoring the pickup tires would be ok, but over 28,000 miles without a flat on these tires... Knock on wood.
  13. 30,000 miles isn't very good for truck tires isn't even acceptable for an all terrain, barely for a mud tire in my book. My ATPs have 28,000 and they look like they have about half tread. I would go with an HT tire, they have a lot more bite and better water evacuation. Although if you run winter tires that's not as much of an issue. I have 0 faith in anything Consumer Imports says. The Internet has rendered them obsolete anyhow, with reviews on literally anything from real consumers.
  14. I really like the LTX MS for an all highway tire, and the LTX AT does very well. The main issue with the BFG/Mich tires is that there are other tires that actually perform better for 3/4 the price. My next set will probably be from tread depot, everyone I know who's dealt with them was really happy. Probably Cooper AT3 or ATW.
  15. You can have mine, just pay me what you paid for your new one. And I'll spend it to get a nice 800 burb and a Dmax.
  16. For what it's worth, the only newer cars I see rusting out around the fenders here are mazda 6's.
  17. If it's lean it's not running ok, there's an issue somewhere. You mean losing the rear sensors? Losing the upstream sensors isn't really possible.
  18. Both banks lean. I'd start by testing fuel psi. Evap isn't all bad, for one thing your fuel doesn't go stale as fast. Very easy system to troubleshoot and fix in my limited experience with it.
  19. Easy fix, don't sell it yet.
  20. To me, adding much weight to a 4x4 is a losing battle. Yes, more traction, but also more weight to stop. Granted, whenever I'm driving in snow I usually have a few hundred pounds of gear in the bed anyway. https://www.treaddepot.com/#!productDetail/tireStandardFitment/90000025349 These are a 33". Will get great traction.
  21. The more siping the better... Which MT's don't have much of. Digging through deep snow is another story. Although I was impressed with how my AT's do in deep snow compared to the mudgrips on my old pickup, I'm sure the locker helps out a little too. No need for 4x4 in 8 inches.
  22. They're a very cool tire. They look like a Duratrac on steroids.
  23. I would hesitate before I bought any SFA vehicle as a daily driver. They're so much more complicated to work on than IFS. Yeah a 4 link Rock Jock 60 with high steer is great, but very few people run something built that well. I'll continue enjoying being able to work on my front end myself.
