  1. I like them already. They have a ton of sipes. Basically an AT3 with tons of sipes.
  2. After 42,xxx miles of flawless service, it's time to buy new shoes! Cooper ATW's are on their way.
  3. Here's a picture of the finished product. I took the first screw out of the gas block and checked for fore-aft alignment upside down. Then I marked the block, and rotated 180. I tightened down the set screws to make imprints in the finish, and levelled the barrel in the vise off of the flat block bottom. Removed the block, hole punched in the imprints, and made the first set of dimples with a very small bit. After that, I stepped up to the final size. All in, less than an hour. I took longer than many, since I set the depth stop on the drill press for each bit. Not taking any chances on going too deep!!!
  4. I dimpled a 20" barrel for the gas block. Bit got through the QPQ nitriding easily. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  5. Vacuum pumps were on the earlier 2000 pickups IIRC... not really a rare system, or very complicated to check vacuum. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. Put one on a bale bed work truck and see how it works in a year... AFM has been in use on the GM's since 2007 and I don't want that feature either, haha. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. You can buy a cap to plug it. Don't know why anyone thought this was a good idea. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. That's right, Black Bear tune. My 4 speed liked to hold gears forever at low speeds and light throttle, and under heavy throttle wouldn't hold them long enough. Now if I'm rolling up to speed under light throttle, it will shift sooner. The shifting under heavy throttle is a bit firmer as well. Overall, I feel like it shifts when I want it to now. The tune changed the habits of the transmission and engine quite a bit. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. I prefer the rubber boot to the metal ones, really. My Bilstiens are at 50k or so now, and I'm happy with the ride. The rear shocks definitely aren't as pretty as they used to be, getting blasted with gravel will do that. I don't doubt that they've held up better than painted shocks would have, though. 10. That's interesting, my 2006 will pull 28% throttle at 70 mph. 14.6 afr. Usually a 50-60% throttle for a downshift. That's with a tuned 4 speed trans, so it's interesting the newer trans with more gears holds longer. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. I'll update with a picture of my new tailpipe setup. I got tired of looking at the factory tailpipe. It's tucked up enough now that it isn't really visible, but doesn't leave exhaust under the pickup. Pretty similar to how it is on the SUV's.
  12. I don't know about tinting them, but yellow bulbs throw light that's easier to see. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. Here is a view from about bumper height... yes, it's dirty. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. Got my tailpipe done. It's exactly what I wanted. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. Glad I don't need one of those Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. That's the reasoning for tucking it, it may end up to the side a little too. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  17. Set an appointment to get my exhaust done. All that'll change is from the muffler back. Essentially like this, only just one. I don't like how the stock pipe exhaust drafts behind the rear wheel and holds dust, and the straight back exhaust on my old pickup drafted behind the tailgate and echoed off trailers. This should avoid both of those issues, and also tuck it up where it can't get smashed.
  18. I have had great luck with Invisible Glass too. I use a "wet" towel for right after spraying, then another "dry" towel to wipe it again. Works really well. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. My favorite is the Nismo pickup with no rear locker Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. The jounce bumpers on front are usually in contact Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  21. I like the 4 speed, honestly. With 3.73 diffs, the gears just seem to be in the right places. I do enough hilly driving I'm not sure more OD would really help me. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  22. I'll look into the kits, I really like these and they're aimed perfectly so.... Very bright for stock lights, and the bulbs are the ones that came with it 5 years ago, really reliable. I've never noticed any cooling issues, around town when it's hotter and stop and go I think I've seen 208F. Usually in the summer on the highway it hovers around 202F. Trans temp usually runs ambient temperature + 90F, sometimes a touch more. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  23. Over 140,000 miles now, I think the ATP's will make 50k. Headlights are starting to haze, I'm looking at the 3M kit. Has anyone used it? It stills shines up really well for a 2006, polished and sealed over the weekend. 303 on the mirrors made them look like new. I need to get a new deflector and install the backup camera. #nofilter [emoji38]
  24. The only people who are going to buy a special edition are fans of that model. If I knew someone who was a Corolla "fan" (posters on the wall, shirts, phone background) I'd probably do the right thing and get them admitted.... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
