Wondering if the stepper motor on the throttle body is messed up. Happened to me when I took the TB of my 05 5.3L. I found out the hard way that you arnt supposed to manualy open and close it lol..glad it was covered under warrenty

Got on a ford forum to see what those guys are saying about our 6.2. Makes me like this place all the more. We at least ( most of us lol) discuss what the other truck makers are doing. Good or bad and try to give credit were credit is due. I checked out a f-150 site to see what they were saying about our 6.2 and I have to say they sound like a bunch of whiners lol..like " I'm sure like all GM engine the powers up high in the rpms and not down low were Ford knows its needed in a truck"..or " give it a 100,000 miles and it will be a oil burning piece of junk and out trucks will just be breaking in". Sure we are here because we like our Chevys and GMC's but we know there is stiff competition out there and can discuss as adults the good and the bad..just an observation..take it for what its worth

They sure sound tough at least to me. It seems to un-nerve the wife if she is anywhere close to the back of the truck when I start it. ( hehehe)..wouldn't dream of looking for an aftermarket exhast system for the 6.2

Wondering why our 6.2s have the tailpipe going straight out under the bumper..is it because its a loud engine?..might make a person in a vehicle next to us uncomfortable? Lol..anyone know ??

Anyone know what a stock 6.2 ( truck) is doing the quarter in?..I'm hearing 14.9 to 15.9. Thought the hemis were running high 15's already..before they bumped the horsepower up in the ram.

That's what I was thinking..forgot to mention the tundra in my post. My buddy has a friend with a tundra and he thinks is close to being as quick as the 6.2. Either mine is getting a little doggy or I'm getting used to the power now lol. Have yet to turn the stability control off and stand on the gas from a dead stop. Must be getting older because I think of all the wear and tear of abusing a vehicle now. Glad I didn't have this truck when I was a teenager lol What were you driving when you raced the tundras?

So I'm curious ..I have a 6.2 CC 4x4. Havnt had an oppertunity to run it against a new ram with a hemi or the ford ecoboost..or anything for that matter lol..my truck doesn't have the NHT like I wish it did but which truck is the quickest out of the bunch?..
