I had the same problem about a month ago, the dealership ended up having to replace the actuator, the transfer case control module, and wire harness. Mine decided to lock up in 4wd when we were about 50 miles away from home. I know the dealership recommended me to tow the truck, but it happened in the middle the night and I wasn't going to wait for one, so I drove it home. I probably put unnecessary wear on tires and other mechanical parts driving on pavement locked in 4wd, but the truck still drives fine.
DubDeuce84 replied to JAREDM77's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra ModsHave you ever considered about changing your fog lights, to either Rigid's SAE fog lights or morimoto xb fog lights? They're not projectors, but they have a nice cut off which would allow you to aim them further without blinding anyone.
I should start off saying that it is an Ebay grille, not an OEM. They are not exact replica of the Denila grille, but that being said, they still look good. The only thing I transferred over from my OEM grille was, the radiator shroud, and GMC logo. The grille i got didn't have built-in nuts, so I had to get spring nuts, which was not a big deal. If i remember right there was a plastic tab on the bottom of the new grille, that I had to trim, but once you install it you will not see it. All in all I spent $180 compared to $800-700 for an OEM grille, plus I still have my stock grille, so id anything happens I can always change it, and I'm only out $180.
20% 5% Sun strip 35% too light imo I don't think I could ever own a truck with out tint. I get in to other people's vehicle with out tint, and I feel naked! I never have had any problems with cop here, as long as you don't draw attention to yourself, they really don't care.
That's one thing I like about the color. I had a 04 Sierra that was either Carbon Metallic or Storm Gray Metallic. It would also flip colors throughout the day depending upon if it was sunny or overcast. That is also the downside of this color, that it is hard to match it.
Has anyone have any luck color matching iridium metallic as vinyl? I would like to wrap my bumpers instead of painting them. I figure paint would chip over time, but at least with vinyl I could peel it off at any time, not affecting crome bumper to much. Thanks for any input on this.
Being that it it was my first body lift I've ever done, and I was the only one that did it, it took every bit of 6 to 7 hours, but if you can get someone to help you it will make life a lot easier. Also that wax coating on the frame gets everywhere, but I'm happy with it. Also got a look at the price difference between the suspension lift in a body lift, that's the reason why I did it, and it doesn't change the ride quality. Also the gap is so minimal you can hardly notice it unless you are looking for it. To me it looks like a 2500
Just got done putting on my 1.25' Body lift & and 2' Leveling kit from RC this weekend. That wax dipped frame on the truck sucks a$$! I've been yelled at several times this weekend, for getting it all over the house by my wife😂, anyways I think 33's are next on my to do list. Stock height Body lift & leveling kit
