Bought my KO2s on July 20, 2018 for my old 2004 GMC Sierra 1500. According to the service ticket from discount tire, my 2004 Sierra had 267,233 miles. So I put roughly 17,800 miles on the tires before I bought my 2018. Right now the tires have almost 40,000 miles on them, I'd have to do some digging to calculate the exact milage. I had trail grapplers before on the 2004 and the KO2s were so much better in every aspect. Much quieter and much better when raining. It doesn't snow in South Louisiana so I can't comment on snow performance. Still has plenty of tread. Edit: Heres a pictu
I can get up to 19 mpg (truck calculated) if I set the cruise around 70. Speedometer is 3-4 mph off in the 70 mph range because I haven't done a tune. On my daily 25 mile commute, with *several* hard accelerations and cruising 75-80 I usually get about 17-17.5 mpg(Again, Truck Calculated). My dealer is pretty good and straight forward. They said GM wont warranty the ball joints, tie rods, bushings, and other wearable components because that part of the truck is modified. My dealer said that you might loose 20,000 miles of life out of the ball joints with this level but thats okay with me. I'm planning for a 6+ inch lift after i wear out these tires i have. If you have 4WD, my dealer said 2.25" is the max level kit they will install because of the CV angles and stress on other components. I'm not sure for a 2WD but i assume its the same with the stress on the ball joints. It sti
I have a procomp 2.25" as well, my dealer recommended it and installed it. my tires are 275/65R20 BFG KO2 on the stock wheels and i can make the passenger side rub the upper control arm on a full lock turn. i also had to ziptie the pastic on the inner fender well of my passenger side. Seems pretty level to me and rides the same as far as i can tell.
Have the same size tires on mine (275/65R20 BFG KO2). Installed a procomp 2.25" level kit and had to zip tie the passanger inner fender well back and it will barely rub the UCA on the passanger side on a full lock turn to the left. I can still make a uturn across 2 lanes and i havent had any issues driving.The only way to fix the rub on the UCA is to have a wheel spacer or a wheel with less backspace. The stock rims are +27mm offset i believe and something like a +18 would probably do the trick. I didnt really notice a difference in the way it drives other than the fact that im much higher off
agreed, I really just like the pad attachments they have for the jacks, maybe ill just buy a flat one and an axle one. If we are talking about rubbing the plastic, you hear a noise inside the truck but its harmless and easily fixed. if we are taking about rubbing components, thats a different story. IMO if you did it quite often it would probably be harmful but its probably not as bad as rubbing a concrete curb with your sidewall. Its something I can live with until I get a new set of rims in the future.
2018 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 Z71 2.25" Procomp front only level kit - Dealer installed 275/65 R20 (34.1" x 10.8") BFG KO2 tires on stock 20" chrome wheels Very minor rub on passenger side inner fender well, fixed with zip-tie. Rubs passenger side upper control arm at FULL LOCK turn to the left; you really have to be turning hard to make that happen. Driver-side seems fine, I can't make it rub at all.
