  1. I, like so many others was experiencing the same issue. My truck sat at the dealership waiting for GM to come out with a computer update, which eventually came out on 01-22-20. Tell your dealership to reference the update via TSB PIT5728B. They performed this on my truck on 01-24-20 and I’ve had no issues since. Good luck.
  2. Here my latest for my truck. The dealership just called and said they did the update and my truck is good to go(fingers crossed). I also called GM to see if they’ll cover the month’s payment while my truck sat for the month. I’m waiting for a call back from the area GM rep....
  3. I’m still without my truck after almost a month. I don’t feel it’s incumbent upon me to have to pay the $500+ a month for a truck that spent the month at the dealership. Has anyone had any luck pursuing this avenue of getting GM to eat a payment?
  4. Has anyone had this most recent upgrade done yet?
  5. Where are you guys getting the notice?
  6. Sorry to sound like a skeptic, but there’s no way a fix will be ready in three days time. If GM knew it would be happening on the 17th, I’d like to think that GM would be telling the dealerships to buy themselves some breathing room from the growing number of complaints. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think so...
  7. I just stopped by the dealership this afternoon and they haven’t heard anything definitive from GM, except there’s no quick fix in sight. I was told to get used to the loaner for the time being. My buddy was told by his dealership 100 miles from me that the newest update would unveiled the last week of January or first week in Feb.
  8. Does anyone have any recent news from GM? My truck has spent all of January collecting dust in the rear lot of the dealership
  9. Will GM pay my monthly payment if my truck spends the month at the dealership???
  10. Oh I had the Trex and the Equinox over the past few weeks as well. I’m 6’3” so the Trex was the equivalent of being back in the womb. I’d prefer to take out the front seat and drive from the back.
  11. According to my dealership, GM is reporting there is no fix on the horizon anytime soon and to keep me in the loaner for the foreseeable future. My dealership has been great trying to accommodate me, but it’s beyond frustrating. I have teenagers that need the leg room of my crew cab. The loaner’s extended cab just isn’t passing muster. I filed the report with the NHTSA a couple weeks ago. My family is a loyal GM family, but we’re ready to start breaking rank if this isn’t rectified soon!
  12. Do we have a leg to stand on trying to recoup the monthly payment money or get some kind of a credit? As I too am driving a bare bones loaner while my 50k truck sits in the dealership’s lot?
  13. Time will tell. My brother has a 2019 Silverado and has not done the recall repairs and hasn’t had any problems thus far. The loaner Trax they put me in over the weekend was the ultimate chick magnet and my testosterone levels went through the roof!!
  14. So here’s my latest. My truck remains at the dealership after dropping it off last Friday. To recap, this is the 2nd time it’s been in for the ESC issue with no end in sight. My dealership has been fantastic and in no way am I slamming them, but they asked me to come in today to get me in pickup loaner instead of the tiny crossover I’ve been in. The service department showed me the email correspondence between the dealership’s tech and the corporate GM tech. Corporate acknowledges that there is a problem with these trucks and advises my dealership to keep me in a loaner for the foreseeable future because my vehicle is unsafe! They further advised the dealership to communicate only via email because they are inundated with calls from dealerships all over the country experiencing the same problems with these trucks. Corporate said all the software updates have failed to fix the issue and that they’re at a loss at this time. Ironically, the My Chevrolet app isn’t working and now shows an error message. To further pour salt in the wound, GM Financial just took my automatic payment out so my truck can sit in the rear lot of the dealership. It really sucks in plain English!
  15. That’s impressive, yet scary. And to think how many others that own these trucks are experiencing issues, but aren’t on this site.
  16. So just to reinforce my theory, my neighbor also has a 2019 Silverado and hasn’t had any issues minus the recalls(which he addressed a few weeks back). When I told him about my truck and my belief that the App was my suspected culprit, he started his truck using the My Chevrolet app and guess what......his truck’s instrument panel lit up with the ESC codes too. He bought his truck at a dealership other than mine, so we’ll wait and see. I’m sure he’s just thrilled to have listened to me!
  17. Maybe there’s a glitch with the Chevrolet app that’s triggering the issue. Clearly, GM doesn’t have the remedy. I’ll give an update when my truck goes to the dealership this morning.
  18. Hey there. I don’t want to beat a dead horse, but my 2019 Trail Boss LT w/ 7k just exhibited the same symptoms on 12-26-19 and went to the dealership the following day where the tech “charged the battery”. Today on 01-02-20, it did it again and I’m awaiting a call from the dealership. My concern is two part: is this related to the recall fixes which were done two weeks prior? And in both instances of my ESC issue, I started my truck with the Chevrolet App vs. the key FOB. Just a thought....
