My 2015 3500HD has no play whatsoever in the steering. The steering/tracking is the best I've had in any truck. (Obviously the IFS helps with the tracking, but there is no play in the steering at all, making required steering corrections very accurate).

3500HD trucks ARE available with TPMS - but only on models with a 10,000 GVWR or less- specifically single rear wheel models. All DRW trucks have a GVWR exceeding 10,000lbs (and hence no TPMS available), and SWR trucks are available with a 10,800 GVWR option (same truck, different sticker) that also eliminates the TPMS option.

GM had a specific question about FM radio reception on a recent customer satisfaction survey they sent out. I highly doubt they create random questions that aren't related to issues reported; rather the questions are used to get an idea of how widespread the issue may be with people who are "putting up" with it and haven't reported it to their dealers.

Out of curiosity, what is the BC/DIC computed mileage and what is your calculated mileage over a full tank? How good of mileage can you coax out of the vehicle over a 25 mile trip on flat roads at a constant speed of 55mph?

Gas mileage should increase dramatically by 500-1000 miles. It'll probably continue to increase slightly up until 5,000 miles. The first few tanks are in no way representative of what you'll be getting after the engine breaks in and the computer has calibrated the engine, transmission, etc.
