My money is still on torque converter. Someone on this thread even had theirs replaced then replaced again with a new computer module that tells it how to operate and they say the truck is smooth as class. After they went through the tire and drive shaft circus.

Per GM engineer in Houston, new Road Force limit on tires is 14 instead of the old GM limit of 26. Good luck getting them to tell you the numbers or put them on the paperwork. My dealer refuses and my personal tire guy says they are lying about the tires each time because he checks them and the are still above 14. Oh, and after 14 tires now and 9 road force attempts vibration is still present. I will admit that the truck does ride better now that the tire with 55 and 34 road force were replaced. That is to be expected with such horrible tires and high numbers. Don't think I will ever pay for Goodyears with my own money after this experience.

Update: After my seventh trip to a dealer and riding with the engineer, he said it's a tire issue!!!!!!!! Even after 11 tires and 8 road force attempts. He acknowledged the vibration both on the highway and in the dealer parking lot. Still thinks is a tire issue at 5mph on brand new cement in the dealer parking lot!!!!! I absolutely believe it is a transmission issue as mine is behaving worse and worse, slipping gears, abnormal shifts, clunky shifts. They drove in for only 13 miles and reported no abnormal transmission issues..............Eight visits and fighting them for months and that is a far has they drove it!!!!! I let a co-worker take it to lunch one day and he said he does notice the vibration but what he noticed the most was the abnormal shifting and lurching................ I highly highly recommend everyone on this forum contact a lawyer. It is very easy and does not cost you a penny. GM will not take care of us or this issue. Let them deal with the lawyers and save yourself the horrible stress and nightmare.

Hootbro: Yes I live in Southeast Texas. I talked to several people including a lawyer and the Lemon Law is not actually used very often. You have to get a lawyer involved and things get ugly and the manufactures usually replace or buy back the truck to avoid a Lemon Law, if you are lucky. They will drag out the process as long as legally possible and make your life a complete nightmare in attempt to make you give up and just dump the vehicle. I can't even get a call back from GM after the dealer refused to continue troubleshooting the issue. What they are doing is pencil whipping the paperwork and distorting the facts before they call me back and tell me what I'm experiencing I normal and blow me officially. They have changed their story half a dozen times and never back up anything they say.

Update: Two more trips to the dealer (had it for a week each time) and they put the "vibration analyers" on it and said it was the drive shaft. They put a new drive shaft on and then said they were gonna rebalance the tires (6th time). Guessing drive shaft did not fix it and they tried the tire route again. Called me the next day and said it was fixed. Nope! As soon as I got on the highway the vibration was exactly the same if not a litte worse. Called the service manager immediately and he gave me the dealer "shuffle", said it was NORMAL for these truck!!!!! Basically, he didn't want to work on it until I got GM customer service involved. Then when this didn't fix it they pretty much told me they were done trying. Told me they would just watch for service bulletin suggestion a fix. 2 months old 3000 miles and I've been to two 2 dealers, six times in the shop ~12 days, purchased my own Michelins, and I'm being blown off and told to live with it.

Update: After a call in to Customer Service (I would recommend calling instead of using this forum to contact them) a customer service rep with the dealer called and at first was very rude and unwilling to help. He said he would talk to the Service Manager and get back to me. They have decided to purchase a vibration analysis tool and test the truck with this device. The first dealersip (one of purchased it from) used this same tool a few weeks ago and determined a faulty fuel pump was causing the vibration and replaced it. Funny thing is, they never mentioned this to me but i found it on the paperwork. They only told me about the two new tires they put on. Since this new fuel pump the problem has actually gotten worse. Bringing in the truck Monday after work and will update everyone as soon as I hear something. My money is that they have no training on this tool and will just say the vibration is "normal" . I did take several videos today on a brand new stretch of asphalt highway with the cruis set at 75mph. The video shows my water bottle in the console vibrating significantly and also my passenger seat and the things i had in the seat. I also reset the fuel economy and took video of the truck only getting 17 miles per gallon on brand new asphalt and the cruise set. I was getting much much higher before and the last tank only averaged 14.9 mpg. I have also started experiencing the drive seat movement that others have reported but this is a small issue to me, just wanted to document it for everyone.

Question, my oil pressure is staying to drop to 18-20 at red lights. I'm pretty sure it was always steady around 40 before. Is this normal???? I'm certain the engine is running abnormally and causing my issue.

Update: Called the dealer yesterday to check on my truck and they said the tech and service manager drove it and do not feel anything! (Same thing they said a few weeks ago) Made the server manager drive it with me again and again he said he can feel it and cannot deny that there is a vibration. Again told me not much he can do until something brakes but after talking some more he said he would order a new drive shaft even though he doesn't think it is the drive shaft. I also do not believe it is the drive shaft because I can now feel it at all speeds. I could even feel it in the dealers parking lot. Starting to feel like the engine or transmission is going to go out but they do not really care. GM customer service has been absolutely no help after numerous messages and even a direct call to them. District representative told me they have service representatives at the dealer to work with the customer and that they basically can't do anything. They will just follow up with the dealer. My advice to everyone would be not to ever buy a new car. I guarantee if this truck was out of warranty and money could be made they would know the problem and be more than willing to charge to fix. They expect you to drive a brand new $40k truck that only drives or runs 80% correct and find it acceptable. The auto maker/dealer business may be the most unethical business in the country. Side note: The National Highway Traffic Safety Board investigator contacted me about the Ford F150 Ecoboost I dumped to get this CHEVY lemon because the ecoboost kept shutting down on me (known issue with ecoboost). Ford is under investigation because of the thousands of complaints and numerous lawsuits for the Ecoboost. Plus my father in laws F150 transmission just blew after 25,000 miles. DO NOT BUY A FORD EITHER, LOL.

Update: Just dropped my off for the 4th time and the dealer said GM has given them something to try on the Drive Line. Not sure if that is a replacement or what. I think it is the transmission as the vibration can now be felt at 24mph and I have already put new Michelins on. I will post status as soon as I get it back.

Quickvert1, did the dealer put the Mechelins on or did you pay for them out of your own pocket?

Update: Just got my truck back from the dealer (second dealer, third trip) this is the dealer I purchased it from and that did the first road force and replaced one tire. After three days they said two more had excessive road force and replaced them (not sure how they passed the first time). Driving two hours home and the problem is worse than before. Feels like a wheel is going to come off ant 80, you can see and hear my stuff in the back seat shaking. While stuck in traffic for an hour I could even feel it at 5-10 miles an hour. One funny note: Under cause of vibration they listed a faulty fuel pump and replaced it. Service guy never said a single word about that. Just mentioned the section about the two new tires. He also said his shop foreman and service manager drove the truck and that it drove "normally". It would take someone passed out on drugs not to feel this truck vibrate and shudder. I'm sure GM is aware of this issue and working with the dealers to cover it up or prevent addressing the real problem. Probably due to $$$$ 1500 miles on the truck and I absolutely don't want it. Miserable to drive and I'm tired of playing this game! I am filing a complaint and contacting a lawyer, this is ridiculous. GM will make you take this all the way to the end with a lawyer before they even offer to replace or buy back the truck.

Update: Called the dealer today to check on my truck and to tell them the loaner was just as bad, if not worse. The service guy told me that they put two more new tires (Goodyear LS2) on my truck (This makes 3 out of 4) and would drive it and see how it goes. No word yet. STex: I also had these exact tires on my 07 Crew Sierra SLT with 30,000+ miles with a smooth ride. Arnoldthepig: I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel, a little more in my body and the gas pedal and the passenger seat shakes, vibration in water bottle (high frequency). Started with only vibration above 60 then more at 75-80. Now i can feel it as low as 40-45. I can feel it as low at 30 on the loaner, but worst at 80. I went as far as to use the Vibrometer app on my Android phone to track the vibration at different speeds. I loved my GMC and love this truck (aside from the vibration) but if it's more than a bad lot of tires or rims, I don't want it. I refuse to spend another year suffering because these automakers will not stand behind their products. I will update everyone when I get the truck back next week.

Update: The dealer I purchased the truck from called to check on my service and I explained the continuing issue, my frustration and that I had an appointment to get new Michelin LTX m/s2 later that day out of my own pocket. They had me bring my truck back in and gave me a loaner. On the two hour drive home this loaner truck had the same issue. The best test I had was a 20 miles section of brand new asphalt and a speed limit of 75mph. The entire 20 miles I could feel the vibration at 75 and experienced a very poor ride quality. I have driven much older vehicles down this stretch of road recently and the ride was much much smoother. I will keep everyone posted on what the dealer comes back with. Loaner truck specs: 2014 Silverado 1500 Crew same as mine Build Date: 8/13 Mexico same as mine v6 engine different than mine rear axle: unknown 20 inch wheels same as mine 275/55 R20 Goodyear Eagle LS2 Tires same as mine

Update: 2014 Silverado 1500 2WD LT CREW Build Date 8/13 In MEXICO Goodyear LS2 275/55 R20 5.3L V8 3.42 Rear Axle I also believe it to be the tires as GM/Goodyears's spec of 26lbs Road force is extremely high, especially on this new suspension. My new tire that was put on was 8lbs and I believe all 4 should be below 10lbs for a smooth ride from the research I have done.

Update: Looking at my paper work last night, the service manager wrote "no vibration present at this time, let customer go". This even after he road with me, confirmed the vibration, told me they were getting tons of these complaints, and that he was trying to get GM involved. This goes to show how the dealers and auto makers with do what ever possible to avoid spending money or addressing issues. I just spent 13 months fighting an 2012 F150 with the dreaded Ecoboost problem. Truck constantly misfired and shut down on me, sent the official buy back or replacement letter and they got their lawyer involved and had the Field Service Engineer state that nothing was wrong with the truck even though it had been in the shop 9 times at two different dealers and was well documented. The auto industry is one of the most corrupt and scam oriented businesses in America.
